I get 32 channels down here in the creek bottom. Sometimes I can get the network station out of Myrtle Beach.
We used to live on a 7 acre lake in Indiana that had never been fished for them. I had a stringer of fish tied off on the dock darned if one didn’t come take a big bite out of of a bass. Told a fishing buddy about it and he came over and showed me how to catch them. Pain to clean but they sure were good eating.
Terrible to clean. Even after they’re beheaded, the head will snap at anything that moves for many hours! We’d scald them in a big pot, and peel the out layers of skin off. The split them open like a clamshell, scoop out all the innards, and,, THEY”D STILL BE MOVING! Creepy!
Oh! And,,, the biggest one we ever caught was 62 pounds! Talk about a dangerous hand full!
