“”We have a crisis,” Kildall said, citing the 67 million uninsured in the U.S.”
No crisis, just 67 million that haven’t bought a policy OR ARE SPONGING OFF THE GOVERNMENT FOR THEIR HEALTH CARE!
Along with you, I suspect the same!
Sequim-a small town on the 101 in between the Sound and Port Angeles. Why are Oregon doctors going to a small, hard to get to, out of the way place? Trust me, I have been in this area many times..
“These Oregon doctors are upset about what?? That the whole country isnt following Oregon? Their state already has what they are demanding.”
Someone correct me if I’m wrong on this.......
Obamacare forces the uninsured on the public option, right? That’s not the case here in Oregon. I live in Oregon. I do not have health insurance of any kind (my choice). I am not being “forced” on to the Oregon Health Plan. That’s the key ingredient progressives want. Forced government control over my health care decisions which will result in government control over my life. See the difference? The progressives here in Oregon want to be able to include the “forced” public option that is currently missing from the Oregon Health Plan.
That wasn’t very clear, but can you see the distinction?
That’s a great list of questions. I hope they read past the first one before deleting it.
You are probably right. I looked at a few of their biographies. One is a former Vietnam flight surgeon. They look like a group of docs who probably have their hearts in the right place, but who are very liberal politically. I absolutely disagree with them, but support their right to their own view. What I don't like, however, is the media-driven impression that they are somehow representative of what doctors as a group support.
“He is currently working on his next film which will address the multiple pressures on physicians that impact how we help patients/families navigate the end of life decision tree with grace and wisdom.”
If the photo of Dr. Whackjob didn’t say enough, this last line from his bio says it all. He’s advocating the “death panels” that are killing the bill! Get him out there, let him talk, and confront him with this!
Some docs I know get 40% return on their billing. The illegals pay nothing, Medicare pays some (with a lot of time consuming hassle), and they don’t bother to bill Medicaid because it costs more to bill them than they get in return.
They are 100% strongly against Obamacare even though it would greatly increase their income.
PAID FOR BY OBAMA!
No decent doctor would want Obama’s health care bill.
Evil ones, would.
Washington State “I’m nutty as hell and I’m not gonna take it” ping...
Oregon physicians????
That figures. Only go to Oregon if you are on your last leg.
Give it another week of bad reviews and they’ll be shrieking about “billions and billions”...
This is very odd.......
Wasn’t it Nancy Pelosi that said 500 MILLION Americans were losing their jobs every month? At that rate it won’t take long until tens of billions are uninsured.
Oregon doctor group in Washington ping
And from what I understand, Sequim is full of retirees.
CSM to mad Doctors,
Keep your laws off my BODY!
We have a crisis, Kildall said,”
In addition, if we do have a crisis, why isn’t Obamacare even effective until 2013?
From pieceofthepuzzle’s link:
Speaker Biography: Paul Hochfeld, MD , Emergency Physician and Chairman of the Peer Review Committee, Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center Producer and Director, “Health, Money and Fear”
Paul is an emergency physician at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, Oregon, where he has worked for almost three decades. He has also blended together his passion for healthcare and hobby of film making to produce a 50 minute documentary about our broken health care “non-system” which addresses three big questions: 1) Why does it cost so much? 2) What does it say about us? and 3) What can we do about it? Paul has presented “Health, Money and Fear” to a wide variety of audiences which have uniformly found it to be engaging, informative and provocative. He is currently working on his next film which will address the multiple pressures on physicians that impact how we help patients/families navigate the end of life decision tree with grace and wisdom.
