WASHINGTON (AP) — Sen. John McCain is refusing to consider raising taxes to reduce the ballooning deficit.

McCain was asked on ABC's "This Week" whether he would make a similar pledge as Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner to do whatever it takes to bring down the deficit over the long run, such as raising taxes.

The Arizona Republican said "no."

McQueeg is against raising taxes.

McQueeg MUST be a right wing Republican.

He’s the voice of American conservatives.

The way he and others in Washington run up deficits and expand government, there won't be a choice.

I think you've nailed it.

McQueeg is such a brave voice of conservatism. Fightin' for the little guy, staunch anti-tax zealot, defender of bi-partisan agreement Republican ideals and Senate collegiality conservative thought and reaching across the aisle reducing taxes.

This group of liberal politicos refuse to address the real problems with our healthcare: Tort reform, allowing national insurance coverage and Medicare/Medicade fraud. What is at stake here is the desire of Liberal Democrats to seize control of 1/7 of the US economy. That is why they will not accept any plan without the public option.

How does McCain still go on any of these shows?

Does he still drop by Hanoi for drinks every so often?

The media didn’t treat him any better last yr than the Commies in Hanoi did.

I have an idea.

Let’s replace all of the Senators up for Reelection in 2010, save a few true Constitutional Conservatives, and get the “new hires” to promise to roll back expenditures on items not listed as duties of the Federal Government . . . abolish a few Cabinet Posts and use THAT money in the Social Security System.

And PLEASE

Arizona
Vote
For
A
TRUE
Conservative
and
Not that RINO McCain.

It’s time for McCain to RETIRE from the Senate and become an Arizona Statesman. If he doesn’t retire on his own, then it’s up to Arizona to retire him. He is NO friend of the elderly . . . why should he be, he’s got his income and medical coverage for life . . . we have the perilous Medicare.

NOTE TO MCCAIN . . . TIME TO RETIRE!!!

It's all about taking our money. Every "program" involves the use of the working man's money....If you're working, you MUST conbtribute.

Every program also creates a "kitty". SS, Medicare, Medicaid are 3 "kittys" that have been consistently "robbed" and manipulated.

CREATE JOBS that will be around forever and can start NOW....the forest, coal, oil, gas are all here...cut the deficient and the dependence on foreign supllies....NOW!!!!!!

The Arizona Republican Buffoon said "no." He says the government should be able to reduce the deficit without new taxes by reducing the costs of Medicare and Social Security, which make up significant portions of the federal budget.

McCain sounds like he is putting forward a conservative alternative. But all he is doing is obstructing any conservative alternative by floating an unsupported and unworkable solution. By doing so he has boxed Republicans in. To refute his nonsensical solution they have to sound like they are for tax increases or against fixing the problems in Medicare and SS. He just provided perfect cover for 0bama's plans.

McLAME must be up for Reelection!

It's as simple as that!

May the good citizens of Arizona give him a stunning farewell in 2010. Stunning meaning landslide - what he would have gotten in '08 if not for Sarah.
