I appreciate your effort but I have never met a liberal who is interested in facts.
But any book by Mark Levin (ok I bungled that spelling).

I agree that they don’t want to be confused by facts, but this guy is a big proponent of reading about politics and such.

Get a liberal “saved” first... i.e., become a Christian, know the Word of God, know that what God says in the Bible is what He means and that He’ll do what He says He’ll do... and then... the rest comes naturally... a “conservative”.... :-)

Constitutional Chaos by Andrew Napolitano
Constitution in Exile by Andrew Napolitano
The Obama Nation by Jerome Corsi
Those are just a few of my favorites, obviously from a paleocon/libertarian slant. I’d be interested in seeing the response from the neoconservative crowd and what books they’ve read to form their political opinions.

Ahh, good one. I missed that one as well as Glenn Beck’s Inconvient Truth. I first heard about the 5,000 Year Leap on Beck’s show.

Free To Choose by Milton and Rose Friedman was made into an excellent TV series in the 1970’s. Every episode can be viewed for free online, if you Google it. You can even see Donald Rumsfeld in a round table discussion, when he was a corporate bigwig.
