Sen. Mary Landrieu has left the building after about two hours with a boisterous crowd at the Louisiana National Guard outpost Reserve.

Crowd estimates at Thursday's meeting range from 500 to 650 people. There were a few more than 400 chairs set up, and it was standing-room only around the periphery.

Most of the questions were overwhelmingly in opposition to the general concept of "Obamacare," a pejorative label put on House Democratic plans for a health insurance overhaul. There were scores of other, less vocal attendees who sported stickers with messages like, "Health Care Now" and "We can't wait." Some were part of union organizing efforts. Others came with the encouragement of the White House's national field operation.

Dang! Those insurance company check writers have been buuuuuuusy! LOL! :-) It's funny that this is becoming THE headline for ALL of the democrat town halls across America:

Sen. ___________'s (D-___________) health care town hall meeting gets raucous

Lazy editors only need to add the congress person's name and the state and they're done, LOL! :-)

They were "less vocal" because, like nearly all political hires who feed at the public trough, they were either drunk or asleep.

Well, I am like all the others. I don’t trust our government anymore.

A bunch of traitors they are. The people really hate them. Shame they still think we like them.

Others came with the encouragement of the White House's national field operation.

Really? The White House has a 'national field operation'????? It seems to me that some enterprising young reporter who wants to make a name form him/herself (think woodward or bernstein here) would ask the questions who is the leader of the 'nfo', how many are employed in the 'nfo', who are they, what are their objectives, and how are they funded????????

Thanks for posting the links. Actually from those snipets I was impressed with Mary Landrieu and how she handled that meeting. She let the people speak and did not browbeat the conservative speaking in comparison to the likes of a Howard Dean.
