The Canadians “can’t” even afford helicopters for their troops. Not sure how they are supposed to afford paintings.

Canada has CH-147D Cinooks, purchased from the US Army, now in Afghanistan. Also deployed as escorts are CH-146 Griffons.

Canada also has 15 new CH-147F Chinooks on order.

Also on order, from Sikorsky, are 28 CH-148 Cyclones to replace the aged Sea Kings together with a contract to modify the chopper pads on the frigates to handle the new machines.
