Jaycee Dugard kidnap suspect says a 'disgusting thing' took place

The convicted sex offender accused of snatching Jaycee Lee Dugard from a South Lake Tahoe street 18 years ago, then fathering her two children, told a Sacramento television station that "a digusting thing'' took place but that his life has "been straightened out.''

Phillip Garrido told KCRA 3 in a telephone interview that "you are going to be completely impressed'' when more details of what took place are revealed.

"It's a disgusting thing that took place with me at the beginning,'' he told the TV station. "But I turned my life completely around and to be able to understand that, you have to start there."

Garrido, who was arrested along with his wife Nancy, said his business, God's Desire, has "kept me busy the last several years.''

"And you're going to find the most powerful story coming from the witness, the victim -- you wait,'' he told the station. "If you take this a step at a time, you're going to fall over backwards and in the end, you're going to find the most powerful heart-warming story."

I am at a loss for words.

There is no punishment that can be conceived of by man that would bring justice in this case. Even drawing and quartering would be grossly insufficient.

These are rabid animals and should be treated as such. Take them out back, shoot them, burn the remains, and bury their ashes with with equal measures of lye in a landfill somewhere.

Was this before or after he called it a “heartwarming story”?

This is just plain Effed up! Another example of Gov’t failure to perform some of its essential functions - Like lock these people up so they can't inflict their perversion on the rest of us.

And these jerks want them to administer Healthcare! Along with our Banks, our Energy, our Insurance, our Manufacturing and on and on. Give me a break!!!!

Don’t be at a loss for words. You can lodge your comments here. (Link below) This man was a habitual sex offender, convicted, imprisoned, released; convicted, imprisoned, released. We can all thank the California Corrections and “Rehabilitation” Department for allowing this POS to continue preying on his victims.

A remedying thing needs to take place.

Say, right behind someone’s ear.

This story makes me sick, however I find myself wanting to know that the girl and children are now well cared for.

Is there any news about their care?

Has the California Corrections & Prison Guards Union budget exceeded $10 billion a year yet? It was well on the way when I left the state.

Jaycee and her 2 kids are reported to be staying in a hotel while this tragedy goes on. Her mother is with her.

That would be WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too quick.

His punishment should last 15-20 years or so.

"But I turned my life completely around and to be able to understand that, you have to start there."

He turned his life around...by turning himself in and giving the girl and her children back to her parents? Oh, wait...he didn't do that.

I don’t know about California. I live in Texas, and we all know what would have happened to him if he were convicted in Texas...

Of course, if this guy was truly remorseful....he would have turned himself in and released his victims much earlier.

Pedophiles should be executed. You cannot rehab a serial pedophile

Death penalty opponents, and, criminal rights advocates, are the biggest source of moral scum in this country. They enable heinous criminals and criminal activity....and put undue hardship on crime victims and law-abiding citizens.

One of several high-profile kidnappings in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Dugard’s disappearance devastated Probyn and his wife, who later separated.

For the first 10 years, Probyn said, his wife would take a week off work at Christmas and on the anniversary of the abduction and spend the time crying at home.

His punishment should last 15-20 years or so.

Too much risk that he will get out someday. He was previously sentenced to 50 years for kidnapping and rape and got out after seven.

Personally, I think they should release him right now.

Just announce ahead of time when and where they will release him and at the scheduled time throw him out of a moving truck, buck naked with a target painted on his back.
