I have never understood the eulogizing of the dead at funerals. This is the prime opportunity to talk about the central issues of the Christian faith and the resurrection of the dead.

The wake last night had some tone of the Teddycare theme with the remarks about his career especially during the video of his life of luxury on the sail boat..
I stumbled upon that recently - it appears to be almost done but I was wondering if it is worth catching from the beginning when they rerun it. I read Alas Babylon recently so I'm still in the mood for that theme.
This is a church full of rustlers, cut throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswogglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass-kickers, shit-kickers and fake Catholics.
Why have a Mass at all? He wasn’t Catholic...
