Listening to a local radio show about investing this morning, I turned it off when the host opened his show with the comment that he had been watching this Kennedy funeral and was “amazed to see Bush chatting pleasantly with Hillary”.
That just said it all to me about this radio guy. He has never seen or heard a pleasant word about President Bush, and so has a mindset that the man is not even cordial - nevermind one of the most gentlemanly men to ever occupy the White House.
The only reason that lightning will not strike the Basilica today is probably because President and Mrs Bush are there - two moral people!
i wasn’t going to watch, but Obama’s eulogy will be interesting without TOTUS.
