But think....... say someone broke into my house and I called 911. Then say the bad guy turned off the phone. When 911 called back & got no answer, would they send a cop out? Dang! I should have asked her that!
Since I’m in Alaska, my wife got the house alarmed. You might want to consider that instead of 911
Me got BIG dog! Also got shotgun! =)
I was just presenting a “what if” scenario regarding 911.
I don’t know about where you live, but where we live, if no one answers - 911 will dispatch a police officer immediately.
Same her, impr.
We have a great police department. If they are not as fast as I need them to be, I have a weapon in the nightstand.
I was figuring that’s what would happen. I had to give the lady my name to “cancel” the call, even though I had no idea how I called in the first place.
We have a sheriff, and all the county cops are damn good!
I got a speeding ticket about 10 years ago. 100 bucks for going 10 miles over the speed limit! (Wrong place, wrong time)
I told the cop: “I really don’t appreciate this ticket, but I very much appreciate what you do every day to keep the community safe”.
I meant what I said, but I still got the ticket. =)
Living in a small town does have its benefits, in that this occurs. I don’t know how it works in “big” cities, though, with police forces stretched thin.
Of course, I’ve me dog and me new gun, so I don’t worry too much.
Sounds like a good, straight by the book bunch.
I got stopped once for going through a no turn on red sign. One of my twins, curly headed blond, cute as a button, piped up about how they were always talking when I was driving and how I always asked them to pipe down and how they never did...and she went on and on...finally he just laughed and there was no ticket.
