Here is the photo of interest. Look at the halo:

Either the airplane hanger has a light directly behind Obama's head, or a halo has been photoshoped surrounding the messiah.

Odd, but I’d guess there is a window behind his head. The lighting looks credible. The composition looks contrived. Photoshopping a halo like that is not as easy as it might seem. It looks very authentic.

The only issue is the WH selecting photos with halos.

That's exactly what I thought.

Airplane hangers don't have lights there. They aren't wired with power at that location.

If there was really a light there, it was put up especially for this occasion. And the photographer specifically positioned the camera, knowing that this effect would occur.

This is propaganda that would make Goebbels proud.

Considering there are no supporting poles, wires, stands, etc for a light source, one can only conclude the halo was photoshopped. The halo is just too perfectly placed to be real.

I've been in MANY airplane hangars ...

On the wall there is a hugely unlikely place for a light of any kind. Just doesn't make any sense.

No big deal. You see this in newspapers all the time, the editor decides there is not enough contrast between subject and background, so he takes PS and blasts in “contrast” to make the subject stand out. If that was done in this case it was a sloppy job (or a deliberate attempt for a halo, like during the campaign).

If it is a light behind his head, it’s wall-mounted. Usually, a light that close will not make a “halo” when you put something in front of it. Bright lights far away scatter light along the path, which shows up when you shadow the light itself.

It would be nice if there were more pictures from the same event.

Even if they did mount a light there for the photo it would have interfered with all of the pictures taken from this location except when he stepped directly in the right spot to block it. A professional photographer either made this happen on purpose, or it’s a fake, he wouldn’t be there otherwise.

Some Freeper who knows how to post pics needs to go to the book by Hitler’s photographer who doctored a picture of Hitler with the cross above his head and post that pic. It’s in the photographer’s book “Hitler Was My Friend.”
