Could George W. Bush end up behind bars?

(CNN) -- Could George W. Bush or some of his top aides end up behind bars?

It's extremely unlikely, but the Obama administration is taking its first steps along a path that could lead in that direction, with the investigation of Central Intelligence Agency interrogators involved in the war on terror.

"You don't know where these things are going to end up," former CIA agent Peter Brookes told me. "They could go to very high levels in the government."

The probe will focus on whether interrogators exceeded their instructions and broke the law when, for example, they choked a prisoner until he lost consciousness or threatened another one with a gun and a power drill.

Don’t you just love double-standards.

It's neither, President Bush upheld the Constitution to the best of his ability, which was part of working with a Congress which was NOT fillibuster proof.

Now, how is it that President Obama is justified in allowing Eric Holder to continue his reckless behavior of tying the hands of our CIA? Is this part of his oath in defending this nation to the best of his ability?

You support the WOT, just not the one conducting it.

I still fail to see why my disagreeing with maybe 30-40% of Bush's policies makes me a Bush Basher and a Bush Hater. You mean to tell me you agreed completely, totally, 100% with *everything* GWB did?

If not, then at one point does one become a Bush Hater? Disagreeing with one of his policies? Two of his policies? Three?

This hate stuff is simply ridiculous. I actually really like GWB personally, and wouldn't mind having a beer with him (he could hava an O'Doulls). But seriously, I don't agree with my wife on everything either. Does that make me a wife-hater, too?

“It’s neither, President Bush upheld the Constitution to the best of his ability, which was part of working with a Congress which was NOT fillibuster proof.”

So, ignoring the border and signing illegal bills was the best of his ability?

“Now, how is it that President Obama is justified in allowing Eric Holder to continue his reckless behavior of tying the hands of our CIA? Is this part of his oath in defending this nation to the best of his ability?”

I presume Bush intended to uphold his oath when he took it. I presume no such thing with Obama. Perhaps I shouldn’t have assumed more from Bush.

I said: President Bush did not give amnesty to millions of illegal alien invaders

Are you engaging in some kind of revisionism? Your implication was that Bush was opposed to amnesty. Fact is, Bush did not give amnesty to illegals because he FAILED in his attempt to give amnesty to illegals.

Do you really not remember how hard he pushed for the Amnesty Bill in June 2007?

Come on, if, God willing, we defeat this ObamaCare, how ridiculous would it be to say four years from now, "Well, Obama wasn't so bad; he didn't give us socialized medicine."?

I'm about finished playing with the trolls.
Just a couple things...

I work for the .mil, so I probably know a bit more than you do on the subject.

Scary and not necessarily.

Money that should have been used to refurbish worn equipment (base housing could use some money)

Do you have any idea who appropriates the money?

“HOW did he violate his oath of office? “
He signed CFR. He refused to defend our borders.

CFR was going to pass regardless.

John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmah Carter, Ronald Reagan, GHW Bush and Billy K'Toon refused to defend our borders. Therefore, every president since Eisenhower violated their oath of office.

Just for the record -- President Bush did more to secure the border than any President since Ike. Do some homework.

By the way, the WoT is still on. How supportive are you of President Obama?

You can choose one or the other and still think President Bush was imperfect, a common trait in every person I've ever met.

It is amazing how so many demand President Bush be perfect, or should have been perfect, while allowing excuses for everyone else on the planet.

It's interesting how these people, just like leftists, move the goal posts, change the argument, evade answering the question and turn their own biases into meritless personal accusations devoid of factual content.

I think we both should leave these trolls alone.

This thread is about how the Obama administration is egregiously violating every Constitutional principle this country was founded upon and turning it into a Banana Republic, and these guys are hijacking it to attack President Bush.

Their mission is obvious. Bush is more of an enemy to them than Obama is, and we, who support the integrity of President Bush are in their crosshairs.

Their words indict them. I've made my point. I've been honest. Time for me to leave now. Good fighting the good fight with you, friend!

“Scary and not necessarily.”

Good bet, actually.

“Do you have any idea who appropriates the money?”

Congress. Do you know who makes spending requests? The President.

“CFR was going to pass regardless.”

So? That doesn’t matter a damn. He signed it.

“Just for the record — President Bush did more to secure the border than any President since Ike. Do some homework.”

False. Take off the blinders.

You're assuming there will be elections in 2010: I'm not so sure of that anymore.

I'm pretty sure there will be elections in 2010.

With this twist:

Precincts will be divided up into the following three categories:

1. Can be relied on to vote "correctly".
2. The vote will be "close".
3. Can be relied on to vote "wrong".

Polls in precinct-categories 1. and possibly 3. will be left alone.

Polls in precinct-category 2. will be heavily monitored by ACORN/New Black Panther members to ensure only "competent" voters cast ballots. If they have enough people, they will also "monitor" the "3." precincts.

“LOL! I’m done with you!”

I’m not surprised. Facts are stubborn things, after all, and you have no desire to hear them.

Bush’s domestic agenda was LIBERAL. That is a FACT.

Lots of people who work are going to be there because they CHOOSE to be there to defend the country.

There are probably rallies near you that Saturday, and you will probably CHOOSE not to defend conservative principles. Too easy to sit home at your computer and attack conservative activists and do nothing to work for the cause..... sorta like you're doing today.........right?

(btw, if you should ever list a single thing you've ever done to promote conservative politicians or principles DO give me a ping. LOL!)
