Could George W. Bush end up behind bars?

(CNN) -- Could George W. Bush or some of his top aides end up behind bars?

It's extremely unlikely, but the Obama administration is taking its first steps along a path that could lead in that direction, with the investigation of Central Intelligence Agency interrogators involved in the war on terror.

"You don't know where these things are going to end up," former CIA agent Peter Brookes told me. "They could go to very high levels in the government."

The probe will focus on whether interrogators exceeded their instructions and broke the law when, for example, they choked a prisoner until he lost consciousness or threatened another one with a gun and a power drill.

Every word both of us has said is here in black and white.

Others can decide. I am quite happy to let my posts speak for themselves.

I am truly amazed at the number of folks who are becoming actively involved up here in my neck of the woods. We are on the march!

“Lots of people who work are going to be there because they CHOOSE to be there to defend the country.”

Marching on the Mall with the Press against you won’t accomplish much of anything. I will probably go to the local protest, but there’s nothing to be won in DC anymore.

“There are probably rallies near you that Saturday, and you will probably CHOOSE not to defend conservative principles. Too easy to sit home at your computer and attack conservative activists and do nothing to work for the cause..... sorta like you’re doing today.........right?”

That’s just it, lady. You aren’t working for the conservative cause when you defend liberal agendas! You, like Dick Armey, are on the other side when you do that!

He didn't ignore the border, you are lying. Here's proof, from the GAO: http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d09244r.pdf

Which bills have you, now apparently a lawyer, deemed illegal? This should be interesting.

President Bush did uphold his oath, you continue to ignore the phrase 'to the best of his ability'.

This is what saves us from the tyrannical menace you seem familiar w/ to some degree, but unable to actually discern in real life, which is why so many people defend President Bush as a good man, despite the few differences we may have with some policy decisions he made.

Again, distracting us from the actual problem, which is our current president, who displays dictatorial tendencies like no American I've ever witnessed. Are you clued into this at all, or are you still whining over spilled milk?

President Bush upheld the Constitution to the best of his ability, which was part of working with a Congress which was NOT fillibuster proof.

Thanks! I'm finished with the trolls today.

when you decide that Marxist thugs are more dangerous than George W. Bush, you get back to me, OK??

I'll tell you this: I would rather deal with a self proclaimed commie like Zero than a closet socialist who never vetoed on spending bill and who allowed the most massive peacetime transfer of wealth from creators to losers in world history to take place. Soros and Stalin would approve.

Take that head out of the sand. I too was deluded at first...but now see the dimness of conservative light emanating from Bush.

“He didn’t ignore the border, you are lying.”

Explain the gutting of interior enforcement when he took over from Clinton. Explain the push by him to give mass amnesty? Explain the MASSIVE influx of illegals since 2000!

I’m not lying and you damn well know it - or you really are blinded by adoration. They drug their feet on that fence and what they are building is NOT what we wanted.

“Which bills have you, now apparently a lawyer, deemed illegal? This should be interesting.”

What do you call NCLB? Medicare expansion? Giving money to Africa? Illegal - all of it.

“President Bush did uphold his oath, you continue to ignore the phrase ‘to the best of his ability’.”

So, he was incapable of stopping himself from pushing big government and signing things. I see.

“Again, distracting us from the actual problem, which is our current president, who displays dictatorial tendencies like no American I’ve ever witnessed. Are you clued into this at all, or are you still whining over spilled milk?”

I can walk and chew gum at the same time, freedom_is_earned. I oppose liberals of both parties.

It's interesting how these people...

Interesting? Now there is a word I probably would not have used to describe their actions. LOL! But you know how radical I am. ;*)

I think we both should leave these trolls alone.

Agree! I'm way behind on my "stuff to do" list already today. LOL

Good fighting the good fight with you, friend!

Back at you! See you in DC this time next week?

Ah yes . . .

"Facts are stubborn things"

And now you're quoting Obama's most recent tool to bring this phrase back into our lexicon, Linda Douglass, the communications director for the White House's Health Reform Office, which wouldn't know a fact if it bit them in the collective bum. Uh huh. Fascinating. Keep at it. You must have one hell of a supply of straw. Keep goats about, do you? Oh, no, wait, must be donkeys.

I think the real war we need is to take down the COMMUNIST NEWS NETWORK first! Then we go after the others one by one, just like gangs take over turf.

I was quoting John Adams.

LOL. You are correct; I had forgotten about that. Although I hear that the hapless Gibbs did have a WoT slip last week.

Note to self: move to Texas ASAP.

Move to Austin, we need lots of help getting rid of the socialists here.

It's a pock on the state.

I don’t think even the Obama administration is stupid enough to try to imprison a former president for his policy decisions.

Maybe not a president. But an entire nation, yes. We are being imprisoned and don't even realize it.

I'm not a bit surprised.

If they send ACORN/Black Panther members to polling places, I would recommend they first contact AFLAC, John Hancock and a reputable burial insurance company. I don’t think they know what kind of fire they’re playing with.

So you admit that you have a bigger problem with an honorable man and strong leader than with a communist thug who hates America.

You'd rather attack Bush for his lack of conservatism than defend the country against a Marxist take-over, and you freely admit it.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the one whose head is in the sand, eleni. I'm seeing pretty clearly now, and fighting tooth and nail for the country more than I ever have before.

I wish you'd join me. Your emotions, directed at the enemy instead of your fellow conservatives, would be helpful in the fight.

It is true that it is much more difficult to do anything with the press arrayed against us. But it is not a waste of time to go to DC. We see each other, for one thing, and even if the press refuses to report a word of it, we will know the truth. That is always how the press deals with the big pro-life march every year - they ignore it. But in these times of Twitter, YouTube, etc. it’s going to be much harder for the press to control that information.

I plan to be Twittering.

BTW, people who want to follow an event should look into a site called “Tweet Grid.” (www.tweetgrid.com) It enables you to select Tweets based on the subject of those tweets, and assembles them into a sort of real-time, constantly updated table of Tweets. I followed Honduras with Tweet Grid.
