Hmmm. You would think that would be obvious to anyone with brains. The details were withheld for a reason. Maybe they hadn't figured out all of them. But I'm sure they wanted to see what got attacked so they could spend the recess retooling the argument.
It also puts the lie to "Congress wrote the bill." It was Zeke's bill all along.
The details of Obamacare are a horror story of bureaucracy, vagueries and intrusion into the lives of private Americans. Obama gambled that it would blow through Congress without any scrutiny and now he’s backed into a corner. By the end of the fall, only the MSM will be left in his camp.
Also, he is admitting that he wanted a bill without details voted on ASAP. Just like cap and trade. And the stimulus. “Just write me a blank check and I might even tell you how I’m going to spend it. And remember, this is not all about me.”
Actually, the only way this would have passed is if details were withheld. Once these started to become known, THAT’s when the outcry started. If, of course, he LIES about the details, the sheep will nod again, but someone;s going to have to write it into actual legislation, at which point we start this over again...
As if doctors and nurses will get paid - this will be a death spiral for healthcare careers. Why bother?

Personally, I think that Obama has the same problem persuading the American people on healthcare as this fellow has trying to get lucky.
The last time Reublicans were invited to talk to Obama about Healthcare was in APRIL. In her press conference following a meeting with the President, Pelosi misleads the public into believing Republicans have been included in recent discussions.
Apparently, however, the only bipartisanship going on is between Democratic factions.

It was especially interesting that months ago the Dims own pollsters were telling party bigs, “Don’t use Obama’s name. If you have to refer to him, do it AFTER you say your main point.”
Wow.
Think about it.
There really is NOTHING he can say at this point except more of the same yadda yadda.
The only gamechanger he might be able to use is the full-on mea culpa, throwing himself on the mercy of the public, pledging he’ll never again try to cram huge, costly legislation down their throat, and asking them for a second chance to be the Annointed One.
Americans are big on multiple second chances. But it’s unlikely Obama will do this.
He also completely misunderstood the legislative process.
Having only been in the Senate for approximately 150 days before starting to campaign full-time, Obama was/is CLUELESS about how bills actually get drafted and then pushed through the legislative process.
Like so much else he thinks is accepted liberal (to him: Communist) wisdom, he also thought “what’s so hard about socialized medicine? Everyone else does it. Just, you know, whip something up.”
Finally, he’s just not culturally an American. He had zero inkling of the core American ideals that -— so long as people actually got wind of what was happening -— would make it impossible to get socialistic policies through without a huge fight.
