I just sent a contribution to Joe Wilson. Joe is the Congressman who got so mad he called Obama a liar during Obama's speech last night. That was right after Obama finished calling everyone else who has told the truth about his health care boondoggle a liar. I just called Joe's office to thank him and tell him he spoke for me! 803 939-0041. He is up for re-election in 2010 and he sounds like someone we want to keep around.

Talk radio here in SC is being supportive, callers are being supportive. One guy in my area whose name happens to be Joe Wilson, called in to say he started getting calls at like 9 last night, finally had to take the phone off the hook. From what he said it seemed many if not most were supportive, one lady wanted to send him money. He also said some people called who were, he put it politely but I got the distinct impression they were very rude and probably cussed him out. He was an older guy and he had trouble describing those calls.
Many of us down here would like to see him unseat Lindsey Graham.

Joe Wilson was right. Did anyone notice the repub holding the sign that said, “what bill???” I didn’t catch who it was.
There was an amendment by Heller to confirm the status of aliens. It was defeated by the democrats. There is no mechanism to verify status before getting the healthcare in HR 3200.

After donating I’ve been trying to call all contact #’s to say thanks for speaking for me. Repeated attempts all are busy. I believe Rush mentioning Rep Wilson earlier is having the desired effect. Lets hope the contribution site is as busy.

Maybe supporting his “lapse”, ie, honesty in calling out Hussein before a national audience will give others in office some confidence to do battle?
This problem has been growing for decades. Rich Libs spend heavily on Lib politicians. Rich conservatives — don’t spend on conservative politicians. PLUS, the Libs have written into legislation hundreds of millions of dollars of tax money to the most mentally ill Lib groups. Until this changes, there will be no change. On the bright side, the coming economic collapse (yes, it’s coming within the next 15 years) will push the Reset button.
I don’t think the apology effected my respect for him one bit. He apologized for yelling it out during the speech. It was rude but oh so satisfying and we all know he meant it.
