NEW YORK (AP) - Despite Because of sweeping Democratic successes in the past two national elections, continuing job losses and President Barack Obama's slipping support could lead to double-digit losses for the party in next year's congressional races and may even threaten their House control. Lead was crying out to be fixed.

In the senate,
according to Wikipedia (not always 100% accurate) there are 36 Senate seats in the 2010 elections (which sounds a little high, but I think Hillary Clinton's seat and maybe one other are to fill out the remainder of a term).
18 of these seats are currently held by each party. Even split. If Republicans win every seat, they will only pick up 18 seats in the Senate.
In the house, losing only 20-30 seats sounds wildly optimistic for the Democrats.
