Skip to comments.Netanyahu: The Land of Israel Will Be Divided
Posted on 09/16/2009 10:49:29 AM PDT by F15Eagle
(IsraelNN.com) The Israel HaYom newspaper reveals a leftist turn for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. Speaking in an interview to be published Thursday, the Prime Minister admitted he had come to terms with dividing the Land of Israel. The land is already divided. How it will [yet] be divided, that is the question, the newspaper reports.
In the interview, Netanyahu insisted that the new reality required practical solutions. How will the land be divided? Territory-wise, there have been those who predicted the land would be divided according to the 1967 armistice lines, which is not acceptable to me. Israel requires defensible borders.

Jews will be around long after the false prophet and his follows are cursed history
Yeah, well easy for me to say or not, I’ve been a supporter of Israel for well over 40 years, so don’t come off half-cocked at me ass-bite.
Breaking up the main body of Israel IS NOT a way to defend it.
Thanks for the verses.
Thanks for all the Biblical references Eagle. Looks like I have more reading to do on this.
Hi Carton, VERY long time no see!
It is certainly true that Israel is divided, and no one seriously proposes completely reassembling it. When was the last time you heard it proposed that Israel reabsorb Gilead. I have never seen this idea supported (except as part of a ‘Greater Israel’)
I don’t want to go to work either. I’m only 460 days from
I guess I’ll go anyway.
I mentioned Bibi looking very burdened upthread. Again prayers for him. It is must be an enormous weight to carry. Iran and Obama alone would wear anybody thin. But they are only part of the bigger picture for Bibi and Israel as Eagle has mentioned.
It is insane to think otherwise. It is deception.
“To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.”
“3Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
5And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.”
We’re in agreement on that for sure.
Yes, but be aware that 1/2 of the world’s population is dead after the Antichrist and the False Prophet do their Satanic work. It would have been all had (future) they not been stopped.
At your service, FRiend.
Just some discussion. The world has a Gordian Knot on its hands. I understand why there are so many viewpoints.
Wow, don’t you look all tough and all putting me in my place.
I know. It has been a long time. What have you been doing. My first novel is out... now I’m working on the sequel. Have a great day.
Hey, if he wants to oppose dividing Israel let me him do with WITH HIS OWN COUNTRY’S MONEY! Let’s get the hell out of this mess. It is time for the U.S. to end all taxpayer aid to BOTH Israel and the Arab countries.
BTW, I wish we’d have at least a few similar threads lamenting the fate of Iraq Christians who have been driven out of their country since 2003, often with our tax money. One would think he decimination of this ancient Christian population (which dates to the time of St. Paul) would be a minimal priority here at least compared to the concern for the secularists and atheists who rule Israel.
I wonder—remember his statement to the Palestinians that he would consider peace talks again IF they gave up all their arms, and IF they stopped firing missiles into Israel and IF...all those conditions that the Palestinians/Muslims would NEVER agree to...I wonder if this is also a Bibi way of saying, sure, we’ll divide Israel IF...?
In that case this could be a good thing!
Hi there, 444Flyer. It is going OK. I’ve been busy at my new job, so I haven’t been on FR too much - the job is great and much better than my previous one.
Yes indeed. God made it clear when He said that he who touches Israel touches the apple of His Eye. I’m a bit of an odd duck, at least in this particular FR forum, a pro-Israel Catholic. Most of the pro-Israel Christians I’ve encountered at FR are Protestants. I’ve been pro-Israel for secular and religious reasons for most of my life. God didn’t preserve the Jewish people against the odds, return them back to the land, and preserve Israel against the odds for nothing. All the other ancient peoples in the Old Testament have long since melded with other peoples and disappeared. The Jewish people are still around. IMO, the continued preservation and existence of Israel and the Jewish people speaks volumes that the God of the Bible definitely exists and is not ignored or mocked.
That’s good news.:) But, we miss you. I’m glad to hear the job is going well.
This issue regarding Israel is the one thing God says He will bring Armageddon over in Joel 3:1-2 (”nations to the Valley of Jehoshaphat”). End of the Age. 1/2 the world dead. The Second Coming.
This is big stuff. So big He made a point of saying it and that the Antichrist (in context) is one that is going to confirm the covenant in direct defiance of God.
Right back at you dingbat.
Honestly, DoughtyOne... I never imagined that you would result to such pettiness. My original post to you didn’t warrant your “ass-bite” comment to me. I was stating an opinion. Okay, if you don’t agree, but why result to such uncivility?
Getting older, less well, still hang around the Hobbit Hole. Congrats on the novel.
That kind of language will make Nancy Pelosi wee-wee in her pants!!! Watch it!
Okay, then I apologize to you. I’ve defended Israel since my youth, so it does grate me to have someone tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about.
As a rule of thumb, it’s easier to defend yourself from a unified position. You break up the territory and supply problems and additional bases and all sorts of entanglements creep in.
I’m not going to hold anything against you on another thread. As far as I am concerned, I’m not really upset with you here either.
You take care.
Thanks will do. Actually, IMHO, Biblical prophecies are largely describing past events and the beast in the New Testament is probably Nero. God's message is a universal one. IF he has a favored people, they now are Christians (including Iraqi Christians under siege by a government we installed) not a bunch of secularists, socialists, and atheists who happen to live on a particular peace of real estate. CHRIST DID NOT COME TO THE EARTH MERELY TO RATIFY THE STATUS QUO.
For this reason, posts on the POST 2003 destruction of ancient Iraqi Christianity (the population has fallen since half since 2003) should be a primary not a secondary obligation for Christians.
How did Christians survive in Iraq? Well....they survived for nearly two thousand years (far longer btw than Muslims survived in Spain). Saddam was a ruthless dicator but Iraq wasn't that much of an "Islamic country" under his leadership. As a minority Sunni, he gave some protection to Christians and other minorities as a hedge against the Shi'ite's (who we installed and are now persecuting them). Saddam even had some Christians high in his government, such as Tariq Aziz.
Ironically, it was the U.S. (supported strongly by Israel) that helped create the conditions that led to the mass decimation of this coummunity. Perhaps if some folks here were more willing to question both Israeli and U.S. policy in the Middle East this decimination of FELLOW CHRISTIANS could have been avoided.
I said he was ruthless dicator (did you bother to read that?!) and was merely noting that his secular government was much, much more tolerant of Christians than the current Shi'ite government. Do you have any evidence to the contrary? BTW, gave you reserved any of your righteous indignation ("crocadile tears") for the decimination of the Christian population which has declined by half since we installed the Shi'ite government?
Calm down. Yes I read your post. I’ve heard people claim Tariq Aziz was a Christian. I’m only stating Tariq Aziz had that label but was as much of a thug as Saddam since he was complicit with Saddam’s brutality.
Years ago a few tried to lionize and whitewash Tariq Aziz. I’m just making sure people understood what it meant to be Saddam’s right-hand man.
Tariq Aziz was a thug.
Just wait and see!!!
Exactly - I’ve noticed - it’s like the snowball is getting very very big now - almost enormous! AND about to burst!!!
Exactly F15Eagle - youve got it! What a grand deception but let it come, we will see THE KING OF KINGS come soon after (7 years I know) but it can’t come soon enough!
F15Eagle you have it exactly right here- post 48! Tragic for them in Israel and especially Bibi - he will be squeezed into a corner and have to sign but I don’t think he will want to - just have to.
post 49 - carton253 If youve never read the Bible before - get started - and soon, it will be the best investment you ever made in your life!
Thanks for your concern.
Could be - certainly is coming before too long, it appears
