Mark Levin was asked in an email today by Politico.com who has more influence, Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh. Mark's answer was clear (hear the brief audio at the jump).

Is he the Texas host who filled in for Levin not too long ago? If it's who I'm thinking, I heard him for about 20 minutes and concluded that he will be the next conservative star in America. He was terrific.
That’s strange. I’m a woman and Beck kind of gives me the creeps where Rush never did. Unlike a lot of people around here I think Beck has gone through to many transformations over the years to be thorougly trusted.
I do think Beck acts too much like a woman, that’s probably why I’m not a fan. My 30 and 28 year old sons don’t like him either.
I think there is somebody out there for all of us.

Much better if Levin, with a hit book out there, had taken the high ground and referred the questioner to the very different personalities and emphases of the genius Framers of that Constitution--none superior or inferior--but all passionate and devoted to the ideas of liberty (as in "iberty and Tyranny").
Once again, we can see how unique and special that group was who were assembled in this little sliver of earth, between two great oceans, to have put aside their petty differences to write a Constitution for government that has lasted for 222 years!
Set aside comparisons. The task for today is much larger than childish comparisons.
Good point. What I mean is that trend-wise, Beck does way better with women than Rush does. I think that is what makes or breaks you when it comes to being successful on TV.
Levin and Beck are my favorites right now, but all the talkers have their strong/weak points. I like to listen to most of them, but I hate it when some of them put each other down. I thought we were all on the same team?

That's a liberal media talking point, but I see no evidence that is is true. Most of his callers are women, and they all sound like they adore him.

Today the media landscape is very different, and nobody plays that role or has that kind of influence. Nobody out there is as original as Rush was fifteen or twenty years ago.
Glenn Beck? OK, I guess, but I always thought he came off better on the radio than on television.
Excellent points. I totally agree with your critiques.
If you watch him enough you will see him push people to a third party. He usually has a different name for it but its the Libertarian party in sheeps clothing of which he has allegiance.
His points are truth, his motive is righteous, his method to repair the problem is faulty.
I only heard a portion of Levin’s show today..but he did a great segment on the signing of the Constitution.
It left me wondering how these people knew how to lay the foundation for such a great country.

Beck hasn't done anything out of the obvious. The Country was in termoil the second that they thought it was OK to vote for oBama. Lot's of really confused voters and lots of folks that ACORN drummed-up. We've pegged ACORN as corrupt for the last year. Lib Press STILL isn't on board with the truth. Gladly, two 20 year-olds shined the final light on ACORN; something millions of others have posted about for many months.

I was glad to see you threw Jerry Doyle in the mix. I thought I might be one of the few on this site that enjoyed him.

You know me! I’m NOT arguing for two parties. All I’m saying is that at this time there are only two VIABLE parties because of the way they’ve both cornered the market on the electoral system. A third party could win the popular vote but WILL lose in the electoral college as it’s set up now. Third party candidates syphon votes away from Republicans not ‘RATS. Those who insist on starting up a third party _today_ leaving the electoral college in place as it is configured _today_, will ensure an Obama win in 2012. No amount of wishing or citing the intent of the Framers is going to change that reality.
Conservatives must focus on taking the Republican Party back from the ‘RAT-lite RINOS in order to to get a piece of the electoral pie. Conservatism is on the rise, so it’s GONNA HAPPEN!!

I agree they all have their place. Jerry gets a little too “us vs them” populist on occasion, but he does a good job.
The station that carries him here in Fresno has Ingraham on just before him. (105.5FM)
Funny that we now have 2 FM conservative talk stations, plus 2 AM, and Air America died a long, painful death here. Gee, guys, which side can actually get ratings?
