Have you read the report on the investigation being conducted by the State Attorney General of Louisiana? They are going after more than just ACORN itself. They are going after the ACORN branch organisations as well.

The liberal political organizing group ACORN...

Liberal? Wait...I thought they were non-partisan. That's what the Democrats have been telling people for years.

Conservative ire over ACORN has been building since the 2008 elections, for which the group mounted voter-registration drives that helped propel the victories of Obama and other Democratic candidates. The Obama campaign paid Citizens Consulting of New Orleans, a close ally of ACORN, more than $800,000 for get-out-the-vote activities, and the group's political action arm endorsed Obama.

Citizens is more than a close ally of ACORN isn't it? they are in bed together! I do hope they get all the tentacles of this corrupt industry.... The people in charge should be put in jail forever!

In the Louisiana tax case, court records show the state Department of Revenue filed two liens in January. The first, for $306,702, was against Citizens Consulting Inc., the bookkeeping arm of ACORN. It describes delinquent employee withholding taxes from late 2002 through mid 2008. The second lien was against ACORN itself for $26,026, again for unpaid withholding taxes.

That passage can be found in this report.

Jindal can not run for President. Constitutionally he is not eligible and we do not want to open another can of worms. Like lets say - well Obama did it, so why not Jindal.

His parents were here on visas when he was born meaning neither were U.S. citizens. So, Jindal is not natural born!

The birther debate has nothing to do with the Marxist policies of this puppet in the WH. You may have me confused with someone else.

I wasn't trying to debate a birther point.

You stated Jindal is a viable candidate. I assumed (possibly incorrectly) that you were stating he was viable to run for president?? Sorry if I had that incorrect - I didn't see where else it might fit in!

From the same report:

The subpoenas seek a broad range of information since 1998 from ACORN
and what the documents say are 361 related tax-exempt and non-tax-exempt
organizations:
• All W-2 tax income reports and 1099 tax filings issued
• A list of every employee
• All state and federal tax returns
• Organizational charts for every affiliate
• All audited financial statements
• Documents related to the theft of nearly $1 million by Rathke’s
brother, Dale Rathke, who worked in the organization.

Where is the Justice Dept..not just this one but the ones before??

Bush was terrified of being called a racist - and so was everyone in his administration.

The MSM played big daddy thug when it came to protecting these criminal organizations. They not only wouldn't investigate them, they would go after the whistle blowers... AND bury the story.

Conservatives have trumped the race card - so everyone has to 'get real' - the world is changing...we're changing it.

Now with Obama - lots of those people have been "helped" by ACORN - or work with them - and support them... and they don't want to 'go after them'...

glad to hear they're broke - that must why they were slated to get those millions - or was is billions - from the stimulus? If that's the real scenario - and they don't the stimulus money - and states are starting to cut the off - they are toast...

One down, many to go. They were nothing but a front for getting out more votes than there were voters

It appears the reason why so many ACORN branches are low on cash is that there is a lot of skimming being done by higher-ups.
