Several groups on Facebook are dedicated to the demise of George W. Bush. Most of the dozen or so groups dedicated to killing him however, have only a few followers, but some of them have become quite popular.
For example there is a group named "We all Want To Kill George Bush" with 429 members, and LETS KILL BUSH WITH SHOES has 484 members.
The optimistic leader of the group "I bet that I can find 1000000 people who wanted to kill Bush" has fallen short with 518 members.

Frankly, that kind of lunacy toward the former president was extremely obnoxious and I was always a bit disturbed that the Secret Service didn't put an end to it, promptly, but it was around for 8 years. The current 'kill Obama' tripe is equally offensive.
I disagree with everything Barack Hussein (can we use his middle name, now?) Obama stands for. I think he's a dangerous, leftist radial who should never have been elected - but I wouldn't want to see him harmed in any way. We don't need a leftist martyr and, from the prospective of one who was an adult at the time of the Kennedy assassination in 1963, we certainly don't need the kind of national trauma a presidential assassination would generate.
What we really need is an overwhelming Republican victory - by conservative Republicans that have a spine - in the 2010 congressional elections so that President Obama and his henchmen can be reined in from their attempts to destroy our great nation by usurping our freedoms via a destruction of the capitalist system - and our economy along with it, wildly intrusive policies i. e. health care 'reform' as well as a studied and risky ambivalence toward dangerous regimes i.e. Iran, that are rapidly developing nuclear weapons they're itching to use against their perceived enemies, almost guaranteeing a world conflict.
No, I want President Barack Hussein Obama to remain alive and well so America can finally see him as the radical leftist disaster he is - and so Obama can see his grand illusions to 're-make America' (into a socialist Utopia) come to nothing.
