And from what I can tell from reading McCain’s birth certificate, it clearly states that he was born and the Panama Railroad Hospital in Colon, Panama and not on a US military base.

The problem with McCain being born in a military hospital in Panama was that unless he was born in the barracks, there was no military hospital in Panama at the time. It was in the process of being built, but was not completed for 1 1/2 - 2 years after his birth.

Where would our military personnel be able to have their children? I think the fact that his family was actively in the military and they were called out of the country, then their children should be considered Bona fide natural born citizens to the United States. That is of course as long as both parents were US citizens at the time of his birth.

Nope, it only applies to military personnel or heads of state that are out of the country. If I left the country and had a child, that child would not be natural born since I was not out of the country working for my country! I would not have a problem with that.

What’s up with the “Motion for Summary Judgment”? Filed by the government defendants? If so, what’s their strategy, other than delay? Seems as if their motion for dismissal has been denied, and, since summary judgment requires even a stricter standard on the part of the defense than dismissal does, the defendants - absent additional evidence on their behalf - have no case for summary judgment.

We do not punish our military when they have children while based in other countries. McCain is a citizen of the US.

We would never get anyone to our foreign embassies or serving in places like Germany if they thought their children were not to be citizens. Life goes on and some military are lifers and do have children while serving elsewhere.

However, Rusty Humphries has been one of the few to cover the BC issue...and has called out those “conservative” hosts who refuse to cover it and Enable Obama. At least a couple times a week he has on those who are covering the BC issue. Everyone should be tuning into Humphries show (live 9P-12A Eastern)

McCain’s status has already been decided, BTW.

No, McCain was the beneficiary of a proclamation by the Senate (and House?) that he is a natural-born citizen. That doesn't make it so. It simply raises the bar higher.

If McCain had won the election, you can be sure that his opponents would be challenging whether he was an NBC, in the hope that the Supreme Court would declare the Senate's proclamation unconstitutional.

If the Court decided to grant cert, they would decide whether McCain was an NBC, and the decision would stand until the Constitution was amended.
