Fellow conservative,

We have another upgrade to our campaign to "Say NO to Socialized Medicine" and stop Obamacare.

Now you can participate (and invite others to do so) on Facebook!

The campaign is available here, on the "Take Aktion!" tab of our Facebook page.

From there you can sign the petition, fax your members of Congress, join the campaign - and invite others to participate as well.  But now you can use your Facebook network to help spread the word!

As you know, liberals in Congress are still working to push for a government run "public option", despite the opposition of the American people.

It is critical that they continue to hear from us - which means we must keep up the pressure and continue to spread the word!

We've just made it easier to do exactly that by making our campaign available on Facebook.

Help spread the word by joining our campaign on Facebook and invite your friends to join as well.

You can also take your support to the next level by adding the campaign application to your Facebook profile.  This will allow you to add the campaign to a "Take Aktion!" tab that can appear on your profile and make it easy for others to see your support of the campaign.

Simply click the blue "Go to Application" button in the upper left corner of the AktNow application page, then click "allow" to give it permission to run on your Facebook profile.  (See the example below)

I don’t see facebook as very effective, nor do I see twitter.

Twitter is for cell phones, facebook is for children with nothing to do.

All my friends and family are on facebook. My parents are 65 and all their friends are on facebook. It isn’t just for kids. I’m 37 and my friends count is almost 500 and the ages of my friends range from kids to senior citizens, with the majority middle aged.

As of January 2009, there were more than 21,000,000 Facebook users of voting age, and 4.4 million under voting age.

From a recent report:

1) The 35-54 year old demo is growing fastest, with a 276.4% growth rate in over the approximate 6 months since we last produced this report
2) The 55+ demo is not far behind with a 194.3% growth rate
3) The 25-34 year population on Facebook is doubling every 6 months
4) For those interested in advertising alcohol on Facebook, there are 27,912,480 users 21+, representing 66.3% of all users
5) Miami is the fastest growing metropolitan area (88.5%) and Atlanta (6.4%) is the slowest
6) There are more females (55.7%) than males (42.2%) on Facebook – 2.2% are of unknown gender.
7) The largest demographic concentration remains the college crowd of 18-24 year olds (40.8%) which is down from (53.8%) six months ago.

Do you still drive a horse and buggy, or a car? Do you use smoke signals and telegraph to communicate, or do you have a phone? Do you get your news from newspapers and local/network TV, or have you discovered Fox and (obviously) the internet?

The mentality of "facebook is for children with nothing to do" is a big reason Obamanation is sitting in the WH as we speak. Their side, realizing that younger people are far more tech-savvy than older folks, used technology to their advantage. Our side, regardless of age, had better embrace technology and social networking, because that's where the next generation of voters is getting their news. If we don't get tech savvy, we'll lose again and again, and eventually fade into obscurity in a United Socialist States of the New World Order.

I use Facebook, and so does my Mother-in-law and Brothers-in-laws. None of us, to my knowledge, have been ‘children’ for at least 15 years.

Wasn’t attempting to smear, just that I know many teens and they are enthralled with facebook ... Twitter it’s all about phones.

I just find blogs far more useful ... Facebook is loaded up with all kinds of foolishness. I also don’t think it a good idea to put personal stuff online for all to go over.
