you don't think he is trying to start a civil war? Then how do you think he is going to over turn a supreme court decision legally?

why does he need to use threats from other countries in order to take back 'his job'?

Zelaya wasn't at the University. He has been besieged in the Brazilian embassy for two weeks. All communications out of the building have been stopped. How could he get on the University PA system?

Face it, someone else was making the statements and attributing them to Zelaya.

I saw pictures inside the embassy walls where people were clearly dealing with white fumes of some sort. People were covering their noses and faces.

I highly suspect that the fumes were coming from a tear gas canister ... looked exactly like it. Tear gas was being used to disburse the pro-Zelaya crowds that had surrounded the embassy at that very moment. It is possible that one or more canisters were tossed onto the embassy grounds [it looked like an open courtyard] .... either accidently or accidently-on-purpose.

Ever heard of recording technology? One speaks into a device and the sounds are captured on magnetic tape or even in an electronic file. They cal later be played back and the same words sound like they are being spoken inb real time.

The only decision that the Supreme Court made was to issue arrest warrants for Zelaya on June 26th. It is true that the Supreme Court disapproved of his plan to hold the public opinion poll he had scheduled for June 28th, but the poll never took place. So what is there to overturn?

I hope that you don't buy the "Supreme Court removed him from office" nonsense that some have been posting again and again here on FR. It was the National Congress who removed him from office on June 28th, not the Supreme Court.

The good doctor didn’t say how much HCN was in the water. Without knowing how much we have to assume it was just urine or plant extracts in the water supply.

If tear gas is used to disperse protestors outside of an embassy or other building, I could see some justification in its use. But there can be no justification for launching canisters into an enclosed area that is another country’s sovereign territory.

Is it within the realm of possibility that the canister[s] got inside the patio by mistake?

Yes the Supreme Court found Zelaya actions unconstitutional the congress which was held by his party voted him out. He is the one trying to create a coup d’état

Has anyone else noticed that Zelaya has been driving the process for most of the time since his deportation and removal from office on June 28th?

Consider these events:
  1. Between his exile on June 28th and July 5th, Zelaya garnered international diplomatic support for his reinstatement to the Presidency from Latin America, the European Union, and the White House.
  2. On July 5th, Zelaya flew to Tegucigalpa along with high-level world diplomats. The interim government prevented his plane from landing by blocking the runways. Had he landed, the regime could easily have taken him into custody since they were in possession of the airport.
  3. On July 25th, Zelaya, having given plenty of advance notice, traveled to the Honduran-Nicaraguan border and stepped briefly onto Honduran soil. There were a few supporters (and reporters) on site but lots of troops, and the interim government could again have easily taken him into custody.
  4. On September 21st, Zelaya snuck into Honduras and was let into the Brazilian embassy, keeping the promise he had made in August to return to Honduras "before December."
  5. Between the 21st and 24th, the interim government imposed round-the-clock curfews. People could not leave their houses to get food or go to work at their hourly jobs. No work, no pay.
  6. On September 26th, the interim government again tried to get control of events by suspending a number of Constitutional provisions, including freedom of speech and assembly, prohibition of warrantless arrests, and others. The international reaction to the crackdown was so negative that the next day Micheletti said that the suspension would be lifted "soon," and in doing so lost control of events.
  7. Last week (date unclear), Zelaya regained control of the process by issuing an ultimatum to the interim government -- come up with an agreement by October 15th or else.
That's next Wednesday. That's when the going-nowhere diplomatic games end and a new phase starts.

Say again? Is Zalaya claiming that somebody was hitting him with "mind control rays"? First I've heard of this. Please elaborate.

Anti-Jewish statements raise concern over Honduras

"The ADL also cited an interview with The Miami Herald in which Zelaya said that "Israeli mercenaries are torturing him with high-frequency radiation.""

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zelaya's anti-semitism - ousted Honduran commies praise Hitler & the Holocaust
""In an interview with The Miami Herald, Zelaya says that he sleeping on chairs, and he claims his throat is sore from toxic gases and "Israeli mercenaries'' are torturing him with high-frequency radiation." "We are being threatened with death,'' adding that mercenaries were likely to storm the Brazilian embassy. Zelaya said that he was being subjected to toxic gases and radiation that alter his physical and mental state."
"Yes. They have installed devices that interfere with the telephone lines. We have denounced this and it is possible that they will take it away. It seems that there is a group, supposedly of Israeli mercenaries that are putting electronic equipment to directly impact the embassy." - Manuel Zelaya, Elpais.com, September 24"
It makes sense today after reading DeMint’s article about his trip there:
Seems the college group was instituting preemptive propaganda.
