I guess this is from a Walt Whitman poem.
(Excerpt) Read more at youtube.com ...
I’ve seen it. Rather creepy.
I could do without what looks like a couple of dudes making out. Hadn’t noticed that or the nazi salute in the TV version.
stupid, I’d say
No it seems a LOT fascist! Hubby and I looked at each other almost in shock when we saw it aired. There is one now with Levi Johnston too, where it say Levi now chooses protection, not sure what it was advertising, but will catch next time and we will never purchase whatever product it sells, nor Levi’s ever again.
Seems like a lot fascist and a lot of hugging going on between men. Heh.
There’s always a Che Guevara vibe lurking under the hood with these people.
I hope I never have to depend upon those particular youth.
The Nazi salute is what surprised me.... It just played on CBS: the Patriots Boncos game...
Absolutely, us too. That and the guys in one scene, just creeped us out.
Yes, a bit, but also seems to make resistance seem fascionable (pun intended_
That particular commercial is not the only one in a new nauseating series of Levis commercials. I VOW..TO GO FORTH AND NEVER... EVER BUY ANOTHER PAIR OF LEVIS!
I kno that this is just a jeans ad, but I gotta admit that every time I see this commercial it reminds me of why I am proud to be an American in this day and time...
They are actually playing this crap on television?? Thank God I have not seen it. Levi is a dumb ass, one day his son will be old enough to know what’s going on and will ask him “Daddy, how come you did such horrible things when I was little” I wonder what he will say in response to that
whoops, wrong Levi’s..I thought this was that stupid nuts commercial with Levi..either way, this Ad is plain stupid
Levis, having started in San Francisco, and, become hugely successful with the ‘60s jeans wearing hippies, has always been—for the last 40 years anyway, a very liberal company. They were among the first, for example, to support and push homosexual agenda.
As conservatives, we really do need to get it through our skulls that what we call liberalism has a lot more in common with fascism, than what we call “the right.” I have no doubt that if the Democrats of Obama’s ilk keep winning national elections—we will fairly soon be reduced to a fascist dictatorship.
Nice little “Seig Heil” at 0:26...Orville was right.
it’s a Walt Whitman poem, and he was very gay, so I think that’s why all the gay themes show up. Not sure why Levi’s thinks it will sell jeans to heterosexuals however...
When one takes the suggested homoeroticism and the hint at fascism, and combines it with the Progressivist-era “manifest destiny” poe by American Poet Walt Whitman, it seems to me you have the quintessential linguistic picture of Obamunism...
It seems a little pretentious and corny for a jeans commercial.

Uh huh, and that comment makes me wonder, HOW SO??
BINGO! I remember being taught Walt Whitman was the greatest poet ever, basically. Now I know I was being indoctrinated. I need a shower now.
Weird commercial. When the title said Levi, I thought you were talking about this totally disgusting Levi Johnston commercial.

Its a great poem. Nothing fascist about it. In fact, it seems to speak of a time when Americans were rugged individualists, instead of the slaves to the State most of us are now.

I’ve been buying these. Made for concealed carry.
Gay nazi cowboys eating pudding?
I love that Walt Whitman poem, but with the imagery and the baleful reading I envision, after the dollar collapse, an army of Levi-clad Obama Youth marching into Poland.
Cool. I’ve had a few debates over which jeans and pants were best for concealed carry.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
I use commercials to target products not to buy.
Also, check out Blackhawk warrior wear pants.
I don't usually participate in boycotts, but stopped buying their products long before boycotting was cool.
Levis was one of the first companies to openly boycott the Boy Scouts, because they wouldn't allow homosexual scout masters. As soon as I heard that, I stopped buying Levis products forever (and that includes Dockers; hopefully I haven't bought anything they have renamed). And gave BSA a donation to celebrate.
Screw them. If they want homosexual scouts, let them form their own homosexual scout troops. Not enough participation to suit them? Tough. Too bad. It's called: Freedom.
From my Cub Scout days: "To be square, and obey the laws of the Pack."
Some things you never forget. Like oaths.
I actually really like that poem...
And it's time to acknowledge that Corporate America, that which we used to love and respect, is leading the fascist implementation.
Facist in a pre (gay) sex frenzy type of way. Pioneers in sexual experimentation? I guess its a brave new world. [/sarc]

It is very creepy. Hitler Youth creepy. Calling to the little liberal youths, I think.
However, my son is at Jr College. Said all his friends (all libs, he is so alone there) ALL hate Obama. He is spending THEIR future. They think he is lame. They watch SNL. The one who continues to like him is being very very quiet, because she’s tired of being mocked. Only to say, the Hitler Youth will not follow a guy in Mom Jeans.
OK, WW wrote during Abe Lincoln’s lifetime, and I studied him as a dumb college kid. But looking back, he seemed to celebrate Workers... as in Workers of the World Unite?
I am probably way off track here, but maybe they are using that.
One word....................Wranglers
Maybe I’m not racially sensitive enough. I just don’t see racism.
It’s pretentious, artsy-fartsy marketing, targeting kids who don’t have a life but want to be cool.
Whitman was a creepy pervert....
I get jeans at Wal Mart. About 11 bucks. Good enough.
so, has the bambolina made a deal with Levi for uniforms?

Actually, it seems a little bit sick.
it seems kind of gay to me.
