the cultural foundation on which America is based that they want to destroy - utterly.

Important distinction. However, the former can not exist without the latter.

America certainly cannot exist without the cultural foundation,

but “America” is just the result of that culture,
and destroying America is just the surface target.

They are attempting to destroy the foundation of that target - God.

Great minds and all that. :-)

And I just posted on another thread a minute ago:

If Rush owned a team (and renamed them the New Republicans) the only job Zero would be qualified to do is scoop up the mascot’s poop.

What a load of...

Last week Jon Stewart continued with the "done nothing" theme on The Daily Show, chiding Obama for not yet getting around to reversing the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy about gays. He cited Obama's "full plate" of business.

That's the whole matter here. The "comedians" are unhappy about Obama not being effective at implementing their leftist agenda. That's not a criticism of Obama's agenda, but of his failure to cram it down America's throat.

And even considering that, the "criticism" by "comedians" is tame. They are still preoccupied with trashing Palin's children and President Bush.

I tuned in briefly last night to find Letterboy smearing Governor Palin.

Letterman has lost any standing that he may have had to criticize his betters. He was in a 20+ year relationship with a woman who ultimately bore his child, but for all of that time he was banging who knows how many of his own female employees, most of whom were less than half his age. He's a hypocrite, a cheater, a sexual harrasser...the list is long. If he had any qualities of character and self-respect, he would quit show business and retire to his mansion. But, of course, that would diminish his access to money (he's a liberal, but no opponent of capitalism when it comes to himself) and young females, so that won't happen.

The liberals are VERY VERY concerned about Obama turning into a joke. They don’t want their guy to get the same treatment as Bush. They are desperate to keep Obama from getting “the business”.
I’m guessing that the dismal economy has sapped away all Obama’s gravitas. The Nobel Peace Prize was the last straw. They just couldn’t resist that one.

You are so right. As an agnostic conservative, I meet liberals in cyber space all the time that are obsessed with religion. When I try to express that not all conservatives are religious, they can't get past it. Every debate turns back to the religious right.

It also helps explain why they believe the freedom to engage in vice is the only freedom that counts. When really, it isn't religion that will prevent them from doing such but more the simple laws of nature.

Another thought, don't they know wiping out religion has been tried and tried again???

Letterman smears Palin because he can’t smear Obama. It’s almost comical to see him twist in the wind.

" it hurts, and afterwards they just want to run over, give her a kiss and apologize.}

While watching reruns of "Whose Line Is It Anyway", there was one where Wayne Brady was out in the audience apologizing to some black people for a skit he was in called "African Chant"...that's when I lost a lot of respect for Brady.

Some people are just too stupid and thin-skinned to realize the difference between a comedy skit, and an intended insult.

People who are that easily insulted, do not need to watch, or attend such events.

The "laws of nature" are God's laws. Violate them, and there will be consequences. God tells us how to avoid those consequences, and "religion" sets up the "rules" by which we may live with fewer consequences for violating those laws.

Agreed, the left seeks alleviation of those consequences. Every policy they impose on us is an attempt at alleviation, redirecting the cost to "the collective" (ie, you and me).

This, to the left, is "freedom" - freedom from the consequences of your choices that violate nature's laws and the natural consequences that follow.

I so rarely watch these shows maybe I don’t have enough facts to know. But it sounds like barbs aimed at B0 so far really are rather mild. They will center on lesser issues and never get to the real reasons why 0 is a disaster. Just like with Clinton. Most of the “joke” were about his weight, or his personal mannerisms, and then the Lewinsky trash. Never any substantive issues on how he was hurting the country.

If the gays and leftys are unhappy with Obama (which they are) then it will be no time at all before the Dinosaur media follows suit. Once that happens the comedians won’t be afraid to take shots at him.

Tin foil paranoia is generally a harmless phenomenon, until the person in question is given power and authority and starts missing his strawberries.

Gays are not unhappy with Obama. They just want him to think that. They know he is their best hope for getting what they want. The Democratic Party will pay the price for it and they are trying to reign in Obama.

Prior to WW2, Mussolini tried to keep Hitler from starting the war before he was ready. Hitler desire to go soon costed him. Obama is the same way. The Party wants their media to get the public on board.

I agree with you, and it's a source of frustration for me as well.

However, I'd argue that most Americans don't understand the complexities of (for instance) the Chinese campaign-contributions-for-nuke-secrets scandal. And, a large percentage of those that do, don't care and just flip the channel.

Now, cheating on your wife with the hot and sexy (I know, but humor me....) young office intern ..... that's something everyone can understand, and it's salacious enough to hold their attention. And as a result, Bill Clinton's enduring legacy is nothing more than Lewinsky jokes.

That's why I figure that the thing that takes down BO will be something completely trivial. No complex George Soros world domination conspiracies here. I figure that it will be something like rigging the Nobel prize vote, or having his Birth Certificate say "Caucasian" instead of "African-American".

Something that can be explained in two sentences or less, and using very short words.
