Homeschoolers aren’t cowering in their homes in fear. We are raising the next generation of patriots. You have to teach them before they can teach others.
My eight year old fashioned a knife out of plastic spoon with his teeth. We were on a trip with our youth group and the teenage boys were highly impressed. LOL!
Wow, very impressive young man. Very well spoken. I liked the fact that the young man answered all the questions! “Thank you Mr Hannity!” I LOVED IT!

I have nothing against people who send their kids to public school but are you serious? I don’t keep tabs on what is being taught or what material is being used. I spend hour upon hour researching curriculum. I choose all my curriculum and pay for my curriculum. Then I study the material, read every word, teach every class, grade every paper. I am not complaining because I love it! I am just setting the record straight. Hiring someone else to teach your children is not more responsibility.
I saw something that greatly heartened me last night.
We received a new “Vision Forum” magazine,
and one of the toys for boys was a Chivalry “set”.
The title wording was “Boys, defend your sisters”.
Good to see things like this these days.
We love Vision Forum! My son has their very cool sling shot that he got for Christmas. He is getting their throwing knives in a couple of years.

I agree with your statement. We educate our children ON differing opinion. They find plenty of opportunity to learn the differing opinion of others outside of their school time.

It sounds like you are doing an excellent job!

We are doing both and so are our children. We aren’t sheltering our children from the outside world. They encounter and engage others with differing viewpoints. We educate them at home with the worldview that we want them to have and we educate them on the worldview of others. They take those lessons out into the real world. We choose not to let the enemy have their say unfiltered to our children.
We are very involved with the teens in our community. We host a youth center on the weekends, plan trips, have them in our home on a weekly basis. Our children have some very interesting discussions with them and have changed several minds! They have also had some interesting political conversations with adults. Our children are in elementary school.
While children CAN have a conservative influence in the school system, you seem to believe that the ONLY conservative influence our children can have is in the school system. This simply isn’t true.
I agree. He will not be hurt. Others behind him maybe. This madness must stop.
The teens and other children that my children come in contact with are from the public school. My children are challenging what they are taught there.
For instance, my children were 4 and 6 when Terry Schiavo passed away. We followed her case on the internet everyday. One day we had a young man maybe 11th grade visiting our house. While he was there, we got on the internet to check on Terry and found out that she had died. My children began to cry and this young man asked why they were crying because she was already brain dead. My children explained that she was alive and responsive and that the judge made them starve her and not give her water. He was shocked. I showed him video of Terry responding to her mother. He had “learned” about Terry at school. He went back to his school and challenged his teacher. At ages 4 and 6, they changed the mind of an 11th grade student who would be voting in one year.
My children are having an impact on the schools from without. They are reaching teenagers with conservative views (the next voting block). You can keep saying that we aren’t affecting the schools but it just isn’t true. My husband is a youth pastor. He goes into the schools to work and teach. We held a “See You at the Pole” Rally on school grounds. We have fifth quarter at our house after the games. We open a youth center on the weekends. They take what they learn and take it back to their schools. They challenge their teachers with it. They start debates (heated) in their history classes.
Also, it doesn’t really matter if my children had NO influence on others in the schools. We see what happens there and there is nothing worth exposing our children to the vile things that go on (I am not talking about in the classroom). Children aren’t political tools, they aren’t missionaries. God gave me my children to train and to educate. That is my primary focus for them. It is not for them to have a political impact on their school.
Sounds like you and I fundamentally disagree. I’m fine with that.
I am fine with it too. But I will challenge anyone that says that homeschooled children can’t have an influence on the public school just because they don’t attend one. Contrary to what you began your argument with, we don’t live in a bubble. We just educate outside the public schools. The term homeschool doesn’t mean we always stay at home.
