As Gov. Paterson and legislative lead ers meet today to tackle a multibil lion-dollar budget shortfall, they should note a new report's warning: New Yorkers are fleeing in droves -- and it's wreaking havoc with the public fisc.
The report, by the Empire Center for New York State Policy, shows that some 1.5 million people left the state between 2000 and 2008 -- including 1.1 million from New York City alone.

Who have nothing to tax beyond what they are gioven by the bribing demoPoliticians, who are quickly losing anyone they can steal and rob any more money from, to bribe the poor and the leeches into voting them into their offices again and again.
And when NY collapses these self same DemoRats who destroyed NY, will move in land and try to dio them same “good intentions” in other cities, that they haven’t allready infested and are leecing the lifeblood out of.
Bet NY state figures out a way to tax them before they leave. You know, kinda like a leave-the-state tax of 20%.

Look what has happened to Florida and the Carolinas. Give it another ten years without a change in the trend and it is possible that Georgia falls into the iffy column. The northern suburbs of Atlanta may already be over 50% transplants.
Admittedly, Senator Chambliss is a stuffed shirt and still easily won his run off election, but the democrat should have never been close enough to trigger one.
The worthless yankee liberals have done a lot of damage to both Carolinas. NC used to be a really good state to visit.
I am a Yankee as was my Father and his Father before him. My family has lived in New England for several hundred years. You wouldn’t find anyone more conservative than we are. God fearing , military people. My two sons now live in Texas because NE is so opposite to what they believe. Hope you don’t want to kick us out because we really like it here.
