"I think it’s now to a point where we’ve got to win the Republican seat; it’s not about liberal or conservative," said a GOP consultant. "It’s about if we don’t help (Hoffman) over the finish line, Owens is going to win."

The hell it's not.

Message to RINO's...it IS about conservatism and everyone following the race IS aware of it. Just a warning. No matter what happens here, other primaries are around the corner. We haven't begun to fight back yet.

Well, well, well.

Reality forcing the damnable RINO’s to back the Conservative candidate, for a change. About now they must be feeling like W. C. Fields did at the prospect of drinking a glass of straight water.

Hope they end up puking it out their stuck-up, country club, blue blood, spider-veined drinker’s noses.

Yeppers, they wasted too much money on DedE. That money could have been used to help in Ca.

Last night I saw that Newt was on Craig Kilborn, late-nite.

Although I didn't pay any attention to what was being said (I was hitting the hay at that hour!), it did occur to me that perceptions are at work here.

Apparently, the Left now views Newt as “acceptable” and appropriately rehabilitated enough to be allowed into such venues.

At least, that's my take of it.

It's probably time for the Conservative movement to say “thanks” for past services rendered, and lay the guy to rest (politically!).

If the GOP would get it’s head out of its rectum, and return to it’s conservative policies, it would be flat-out amazed at the support it would have and elections it would win.

Not that I expect them to be that smart, but hopefully this race will open some willfully closed eyes and ears at the GOP.

Yes.

The operative argument, to which there is really no rejoinder, is, “Why should I vote for you, a slushy, mushy Republican who seemingly has adopted the Democratic platform in it’s entirety, when I can go out and vote for the real thing???”

This is Rep. Pete Sessions of Texas, NOT Senator Jeff Sessions.

“The political world is scrambling to make sense of all this.”

The political world is watching a tsunami of Americans who are forcing them to be accountable to We The People. It started with the Tea Party movement and the town hall meetings. The politicians are getting hit with the full force of our tidal wave. And we are putting our money into the war chest of those who share our principles and vision of a strong, conservative America. I think they are learning that we will not give up our beloved country without a fight.

Or maybe he’s smart enough to leave DS in, to prevent her votes going to the Dem.

If they can’t make sense of it, then they are corrupt.

The white vote in the northeast is not nearly as right-leaning in the northeast as it is elsewhere.

You're right. Obama won 52% of the vote (although my guess is he still lost the white vote, meaning that almost all 8% of blacks and Hispanics voted as a solid block for Obama). However, McHugh won 65% of the vote. In an off-year by-election, I'd expect the minority vote to fall to zero.

Do not believe for a moment that they ‘get it’. This is nothing more than political expediency on display, kinda like the remorse for getting caught not the remorse for doing wrong.

Exactly! This quote from the article struck me: "It’s about if we don’t help (Hoffman) over the finish line, Owens is going to win."

BS! If Hoffman wins, they want to be able to take credit for it. Meanwhile, as far as I know the National Republican Congressional Committee is still running anti-Hoffman ads, and staffing Scozzafava's campaign. They're just trying to pull the wool over the eyes of us rubes.

The GOP leadership went out to support her as “Team Players”.

Now it’s Dede’s turn to be a Team Player and withdraw and endorse Hoffman.

GOP. The stupidest political party in world history.

GOP. Had House and Senate majorities AND the White House.

GOP senator undermines the majorities and eliminates the GOP advantage.

GOP then nominate said senator for the presidential candidate.

Said candidate is so weak that he can’t be a no name nobody senator with no resume.

GOP. Stupidity defined.
