There very little official information about Malik Nidal Husan, the alleged gunman in the Fort Hood shooting.
It's not even clear how exactly his name is spelled. We've seen news reports referring to him as Malik Nadal Husan, Malik Nidal Husan, Malik Nadal Hussan, Malik Nidal Hussan, Nidal Malik Husan, and Nidal Malik Hussan.
"Virginia state medical licensing records list a Nidal Malik Hasan as a psychiatrist for the Army Medical Corps, with his primary practice at Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Hood," McClatchy reports. "The phone number listed for him in the Virginia records, which carried a Maryland area code, was unanswered."
According to the records, Hasan completed a residency in psychiatry at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. in 2007 and additional training in disaster and preventive psychiatry at Uniformed Services University Of the Health Sciences F. Edward Herbert School of Medicine, Bethesda, Md.. At least 12 people were killed and 31 wounded in a shooting at Fort Hood Army Base near Killeen, Texas, when at least one gunmen opened fire on soldiers who were making their final deployment preparations.
At the Center for Traumatic Studies we found this profile.
Nidal Hasan, M.D., M.P.H.
Fellow, Disaster and Preventive Psychiatry
Department of Psychiatry
F.Edward Hebert School of Medicine
Uniformed Services University of the Health Science
God rest the souls of the fallen, heal the wounded, and bless and protect our brave military who ONLY fight for our freedom and safety.
He was anti-war as much as Bin Laden was.
He wasn’t ant-war. He was anti-american.
No, you pissant! He was anti-war because he is a peace-loving man who didn’t want to take another human being’s li . . . oh. Never mind . . ..
When Barack Hussein Obama (mmm mmm mmm) crawfished on those promises, Hasan became very upset and depressed. This led to this Muslim attack on American troops.
Obama lied, soldiers died.
Sounds like political correctness prevented his being kicked out. Maybe they sent him to a deploying unit hoping he would quit, and instead they found out he really meant the crap he was saying. Look for the victimization of the guy to begin in the MSM. It will be subtle, but it will be there.
Just heard a relative on TV say that this may have been related to bullying and harassment by other military physicians. What a load of crap!
Let me see about your logic...
peace loving man...who joins the military and raise to rank of Major...
I would think he would be in the woods trying to marry a gay spotted owl...
Time to dishonorably discharge anyone that criticizes the deployment on ideology grounds.
Lee is on with Hannity right now.
Major Jihadist knew this well and took his anti-war ass to a theatre and murdered as many American soldiers and their relatives as he could. Jihadist POS.
OBAMA LIED, SOLDIERS DIED.
Anti-war...makes him a leftie.
You need to lock it up, Major...
And political correctness makes for dead and wounded soldiers in a theatre at Fort Hood.
You don’t appear to be new here, but your rhetoric is way off base!
Col. Lee checked out his complaint and it was the opposite he was the harasser.
Shep Smith workings to turn this jihadiscum pos into a poor, pitiable victim started nearly paragraph one of his coverage.
The sissy little sad sack of ***t doesn’t even try to be subtle about it.
Shep belongs on MSMBC. He’d be so much more ideologically copasetic there.
