A cousin of the man suspected of opening fire at Fort Hood, Texas, says his family is shocked and saddened by the tragedy.

Nader Hasan of Falls Church, Va., said in a statement issued late Thursday that he and his family are filled with grief for the families of the victims. Twelve people were killed and 31 were wounded in the attack.

He says that Nidal Hasan's family knows little about what happened, but that they want to send "our most heartfelt sympathies" to the families of the victims. He also says that Hasan was raised in America, and that his family loves and is proud of their country.

I'm sure it's tough for Hasan's family but really what does their love for the US have to do with anything?

“their love for the US have to do with anything?”

Maybe they think it will keep outraged Americans from throwing pig manure on the front lawn?/s

I like it that they said that, tho. But, unfortunately, I have a burning hatred for their slimeball son.

Is this the family that came from Palestine?

Do they attend the same mosque the Texas jihadi attended, the one some of the 9/11 attackers attended?

This "cousin" seems to contradict the interview by Sheppard Smith at FOX NEWS about Malik Hasan.

My suggestion is for ALL to COPY the interview video and audio located at YouTube BEFORE it is scrubbed.

I heard this guy on the original call-in to Shep. I wondered if his words were a pre-emptive strike on behalf of his cousin. 'Hasan was being harassed', 'he had already hired a Military attorney'. Perhaps time will tell if the shooter had ANY reason for his actions (no reason is good enough for what he did). It just sounded like the cousin was trying to lay a foundation for a Defense (even though the shooter was already dead, maybe a defense for the family).

I think they should go on the lay-low and stay there. There's nothing they can say that would convince me that this man loves America. He was in the service, but didn't want to serve. He shot and killed a whole bunch of people because HE didn't want to go to Iraq. He, he, he, I, I, I, me, me, me, angry, angry, angry, ... sound like anyone else we know?

Pray for America ... pray for Her good!

For those who don't know what mosque I was referring to:

By the time Atta and Shehhi returned to Virginia Beach from their travels in Georgia, Hazmi and Hanjour had also arrived in Virginia, in Falls Church. They made their way to a large mosque there, the Dar al Hijra mosque, sometime in early April.73

As we mentioned earlier, one of the imams at this mosque was the same Anwar Aulaqi with whom Hazmi had spent time at the Rabat mosque in San Diego. Aulaqi had moved to Virginia in January 2001. He remembers Hazmi from San Diego but has denied having any contact with Hazmi or Hanjour in Virginia.74

At the Dar al Hijra mosque, Hazmi and Hanjour met a Jordanian named Eyad al Rababah. Rababah says he had gone to the mosque to speak to the imam, Aulaqi, about finding work. At the conclusion of services, which normally had 400 to 500 attendees, Rababah says he happened to meet Hazmi and Hanjour. They were looking for an apartment; Rababah referred them to a friend who had one to rent. Hazmi and Hanjour moved into the apartment, which was in Alexandria.75

MIM: Dar Al Hijrah mosque was named as the most dangerous mosque in America by Paul Sperry in his book “Infiltration” and is located in what he calls DC’s ‘Wahhabi Corridor’.

The congregation consists of many Muslims who are involved in politics major Muslim organisations and fundraising fronts in the Washington area. The founder of the Free Muslims Against Terrorism , Kamal Nawash, worshipped at Dar Al Hijrah and also solicited clients for his legal practice which was nearby.

^ Funeral services and prayers will be held May 31 at Dar Al Hijrah Islamic Center in Falls Church^

From this I'm guessing they still attend the Dar Al Hijrah Islamic Center.

The connection is that almost every attack by muslims in this country have gone through this mosque, including the shooter in Pittsburgh, the shooter in Arkansas, and the shooter at the immigration center last year who was “alienated” just like Cho, and whom the muslims “befriended” and were “sympathetic” to his “plight.”
He said they were the “only ones who would talk to him,” all the way up to the end.
It’s what they do. They seek out people with mental problems and pretend to empathize. Then they turn them. These guys are usually on heavy antidepressants. Add some heroine, and you have a slave aka a suicider.
