I recall JimRob offering some “salty talk” of his own not long ago.

I’ll go to jail.

The second amendment has a purpose and that purpose is to fight tyranny.

Dear Nancy,

"In 1831 the Mexican government loaned the citizens of Gonzales a six-pound cannon as protection against the Indians. In September of 1835, as political unrest grew, Mexican officials at San Antonio de Bexar demanded the cannon be returned."

"A corporal with five soldiers and an oxcart were first sent by Col. Ugartechea, Bexar military commander, to Gonzales. The corporal carried a request that the small reinforced cannon, a bronze six-pounder, be returned to the Mexican Army. Andrew Ponton refused to relinquish it, stalling for time, and the little cannon was buried in George W. Davis' peach orchard, near the Guadalupe River."

"Next came Lieutenant Castaneda and 150 mounted soldiers to "take" the cannon. When the soldiers appeared on the west bank of the Guadalupe River, there were only 18 men in Gonzales, but these 'Old Eighteen' stood at the river in defiance, denied the Mexicans a crossing by hiding the ferry and sent out a call for volunteers to assist them."

"As the soldiers scouted the river for a place to cross, they moved upriver a short distance, near the present-day community of Cost and camped for the night. There, in the early-morning hours of Oct. 2, 1835, the colonists crossed the river with their cannon, surprising the troops and waving their hastily fashioned flag, which proclaimed "Come and Take It." Almost immediately the cannon fired, killing one of Castenada's men and scattering the rest, forcing them to retreat to San Antonio de Bexar. Thus was fired the shot that set off the struggle for Texas independence from Mexico. When the smoke cleared, the Mexican troops had taken off. The Texas Revolution had begun."(excerpt from: http://www.gonzalestexas.com/comeandtakeit.asp)

come and take it

Texans, dear Nancy will not be giving you $15,000 to buy an insurance healthcare policy, nor will they go gently to jail. Come and take it, Nancy. You'd better bring more than a hundred and fifty Mexicans this time.

I just can’t see this travesty being passed. It it is, I see revolution in the streets.

And unless we are really, really smart about that they will use it as a means to kill and lock us up. They will bring in mercenaries from other countries to accomplish it.

I know a man who has had three back surgeries, and can no longer purchase health insurance, because of his pre-existing contdition.

He is in his mid 40’s and has a family to support. He is in constant pain, and his family fears he is becoming addicted to pain killers, as there is no other avenue of relief for him.

How will he be able to purchase NANCY’S plan? Will he have to go to jail, because he is refused by every insurance company?

What about those with life threatening cancer? How will they be able to find insurance? Or those with diabetes? Or AIDS? Or those over 75?

Looks like they will ALL end up in jail, if this passes.

Something is SO out of wack here..........

UnConstitutional. It SHOULD end there. But sadly it won’t.

So can I presume JimRob’s warning a few months ago about “salty talk” (and the inevitable visit from Secret Service) to be temporarily suspended?

Are you our "friendly" white house monitor?
Will you be reporting us to the pres__ent Fuhrer?

From Pelosi’s point of view, the government-provided health care is a way to redistribute wealth, just like tax.

Do we really think that Pelosi and her gang give a rat's you know what about redistribution of the wealth to those who are in need? I don't. I think that there real goal is simply to break America and fill their own personal coffers. Do I hear "embezzlement" anyone? I would like to see how much of the money of the stimulus and other packages have actually found it's way into their personal pockets. It sure hasn't found it's way into the general population.

If they have their way I am sure the health care that America would actually receive would be of far, far less value than the money that would be extracted from us. Has anybody added up the price Americans, all together, would be paying for this supposed health care?

Great history lesson, thanks. Very applicable to this situation.

These Marxists in DC have no idea what they are getting into. The hostility they are about to face will bring a rude awakening. They are conditioned to making huge power grabs, robbing the producers and then buying votes through entailment spending.

Things are different now. Getting reelected will be the least of their worries if they force this monstrosity on the American public. That is all I am willing to say.

If fear makes you wise, that’s a good thing. If fear makes you retreat when you ought to advance, that’s a bad thing. It’s getting scary here because it’s even scarier in DC right now. We won’t take the blame for wanting to remain a free people. It is our right. Dear Leader and his puppets are ginning this up all by themselves.

This is a thread that needs to be circulated fast before the vote. Congressmen need to be up all night answering irate phone calls. Unbelievable.
