This topic has appeared a dozen times or more.
Perhaps Michael Steele was trying to describe what Glenn Beck’s audience/participants did so eloquently.
White people have been brainwashed to feel *afraid* of saying something patronizing or hurtful to anyone of a different race or culture.
Americans have been divided by an insidious liberal press & diabolical Democratic Party in order to maintain power. We are now bashing Michael Steele for some perceived racial comment.
Grow up!!!!

Do we still have FReepers that love him? I don’t know how many times our illustrious spokesperson can put his foot in his spokesmouth and still be defended. He especially loves to go on with CNN blacks and yuck it up. He let the Hugely comment of the Republican Naztional Convention looking like a Nazi gathering completely go by unchallenged.

We're not scared of you,Mr Steele.I,and those like me,represent the heart and soul of the Republican Party.Unlike some,we don't work "inside the beltway",don't belong to country clubs, don't have homosexual children, etc.
If we,the heart of the Party, believe that Party leaders are doing a good job we'll let them know by voting Republican, donating Republican, working Republican and praising those leaders.
Recent results/events...including 2008 and NY 23,suggest that the leadership ain't doin' so hot.

white Republicans have been scared of black folks Maybe it's because they've destroyed nearly every big city in this country, as well our schools, our culture, the military, the government/civil service, and now the Presidency--all we get is crime, squalor, ignorance, big mouths yapping, a million excuses--and yet, it's considered a crime to even point it out.
Steele is a total loser--Google his GQ interview from last year--he is a complete moron.

Did any one else get nice sky blue donation envelope with “PAST DUE”. 2 weeks ago I received a donation letter, on the outside of the envelope for the world to see “PAST DUE” in big red letters. I am not even a re-pelican. Not affiliated with any party at all. I have e-mailed and mailed them twice, not friendly responses, telling them to LEAVE ME ALONE. My husband quickly sat down and penned this, To Republican National Committee: 11/04/09
You recently sent a letter to my wife asking for money. On the envelope, in red letters, it said PAST DUE. Past due for what? My wife is not a registered Republican but I am (soon not to be). She could not believe that you had the gall to send her something that said PAST DUE on it.
Here is a PAST DUE for the Republicans: You are PAST DUE for doing something with illegal immigration. You are PAST DUE about cleaning up the greed and corruption in the party. You are PAST DUE for standing up and supporting what is right for this country, not your special interests and re-election bids. If you won’t do what is right for America, we will vote you out. You are PAST DUE on holding up the Constitution. You are PAST DUE on decreasing the size of government. Our freedoms are at stake here.
You spend $900,000 supporting RINO Dede and then she withdraws costing the conservative votes. What a shame!! Do you want me or my wife to support that? No way!! We are conservatives. It’s time to get the RINO’s out of the party and turn to the roots of conservatism. We in America are angry and fed up with the politicians. The spending has to stop now.
If you want our money and support, put in a candidate that makes us feel good about them, not someone who the leaders of the party support.
Sincerely,
27

Will someone please E-Mail a copy of this thread to the bumbling FOOL, Mr. STEELE!! He needs to read it, and I am sure he is NOT bright enough to find this thread on his own!
His latest fund raising stunt is to mail you an envelope stamped in RED! “PAYMENT OVERDUE!” if you have not responded in the past with a contribution! This is a ploy guaranteed to make “BLOOD SPURT OUT OF YOUR YES!” and P*SS ONE OFF BEYOND COMPREHENSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mr. STEELE, You are NOT ONLY a FOOL and a BUMBLING IDIOT! but You are IGNORANT!! HELL WILL FREEZE OVER BEFORE YOU GET A DIME! Mr. STEELE!!!!!!

If I get something from the RNC, I'm going to write on it--"Sorry, I'm scared of Michael Steele. Scared that he's going to say something stupid again". He's supposed to be out there promoting conservatism and the Republican party. Instead he makes a stupid ass statement, once again, like this which paints Republicans as a bunch of fearful, hateful racists. Way to go idiot. How many more donations did you just blow? Glad you got to tear us down with a frickin' CNN liberal. Hope it felt good to have a second of agreement with Roland Martin. If they do get rid of him, what do you want to bet he stabs the party in the back big time. If he's doing it as the party charirman, you know darn well it's going to be big payback time if they get rid of the idiot.
To: Halfmanhalfamazing
This is an old story, plus you have misrepresented it.
That says a lot more about you than it does about Mr. Steele.

This is just plain over the top.
Now we have the RINOs playing the race card.
IMO this is showing how scared the RINOs are of the conservative uprising. These people are worried. AND, I believe they may very well be willing to destroy the party to keep conservatives from taking control.
