I don’t have a problem with him bowing if it’s the custom of the country he’s visiting. As to his maybe having gone too low, I’m willing to chalk that up to his lack of skill in executing something that he’s not that familiar with.
As much as I disagree with Obama on nearly everything, I think people go out of their way to find fault with every single thing he does, and I think we ought to reserve our criticism for the more substantive stuff.

I’ll refrain from voting as I think he hasn’t done enough bowing. Every time he bows, he gets more bad publicity and one or two more voters see him for what he is. So yeah, Hussein, keep bowing and showing your backside to the camera.

Yes. AND the American Revolution was also about not having to bow and scrape. Our Founding Fathers determined that we are equal to any royalty. We are not “Subjects” like in a monarchy, so we don’t bow to anybody.

If the ‘bama had been our president in 1941, we’d all be bowing to Hirohito. Maybe the ‘bama decided to bow when he found out how the traditional Japanese apologize to their emperor.

21% for
As of 11:05 am CST. I cannot believe that 1% of Americans much less 29% would think it is OK for the president of the United States to BOW to some other head of state. Hell I would not appreciate a Catholic president bowing to the Pope. I may just puke!!!!!!!!!!!

He normally wouldn’t have bowed. This is all damage control over bowing to the Saudi King. If/when it’s brought up in the future, Obama can say that he bows to all respected foreign leaders.
