Glenn Beck to announce ‘big plan’ for 2010
Politico ^ | 11/20/2009 | Kenneth P. Vogel

Posted on 11/20/2009 3:03:42 PM PST by ConjunctionJunction

Glenn Beck, the controversial Fox News television host, is planning on becoming more active in the populist conservative movement he spawned, according to sources familiar with his thinking.

At a rally Saturday at a massive retirement community in central Florida, Beck is planning to unveil what he has billed as a “big plan” for 2010, which is expected to involve the 9.12 Project, the group he started earlier this year and named for the day after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, when he says the nation was unified.

“Coming this January, my whole approach changes on this program,” he hinted cryptically on his Wednesday show. “This next year is going to be critical and I think it's going to change and I think we are going to set it right, at least set our course right. And if that means the Democrats or the Republicans are destroyed along the way, well, good. Good.”

Beck's Saturday rally, which is set for 3 p.m. will be broadcast live on Fox, and is timed to coincide with the kickoff of a tour promoting his new book, “Arguing with Idiots.”

After Beck unveiled his 9.12 Project, dozens if not hundreds of local 912 groups sprung up across the country and some have merged in purpose and tactics with the Tea Party movement of conservatives that exploded onto the scene this summer. Though the local 912 groups clearly look to Beck as their de-facto leader, they maintain no formal ties to Beck’s 9.12 Project.

The 9.12 Project is co-sponsoring a march on Washington on Sept. 11, 2010 partly to protest the policies of President Barack Obama and Congress. A source said the talk show host is not going to attend, but is planning to become more involved in 912 movement activities.

The 2010 march – called the “We the People Restore Our Constitution March, Rally and 9/11 Memorial” – is planned for Washington’s National Mall. Its other co-sponsor is an online activism group called ResistNet.com.

ResistNet’s Darla Dawald credited Beck with setting in motion the march, but said he’s not involved in its planning. “Glenn doesn’t want it to be about him – always about the people,” Dawald, who is leading march planning for ResistNet, wrote in an email. “He wanted the 9.12 Project people (grassroots) to be involved and step forward – not him.”

Christine Drawdy, a Florida event promoter involved in the Tea Party and 912 movements who is listed as the travel coordinator for the 2010 march, said the permit for the march is in the name of The 9.12 Project’s administrator, Yvonne Donnelly.

Though Drawdy stressed that Beck “is not the leader of” the 912 movement, she added “all he has to do is say something and they’ll jump.”

ResistNet’s Dawald said she was asked to join the march planning effort by Donnelly, who works with Beck on the 9.12 Project website but did not respond to an email message.

Beck has emerged as a potentially potent populist force in conservative politics, as evidenced by the response to his broadcast in March urging viewers to try to recreate a united America, calling out politicians for leading the nation astray, and unveiling the 9.12 Project.

Local 912 groups sprang up, and many credited Beck’s on-air promotions with the huge turnout at the Sept. 12, 2009 “Taxpayer March on Washington,” where some waved “Glenn Beck for President” and said Beck spurred them to become politically active for the first time.

But Beck’s 9.12 Project played no role in sponsoring or planning this year’s march, nor did he attend it. He has mostly not involved himself personally in any of the 912 movement activities, and has downplayed characterizations that he is leading the movement.

Nonetheless, Fox News has drawn fire from media ethicists and liberals alike for breathlessly promoting Tea Party marches, and for whipping up the crowd at the Sept. 12 rally.

The 912 Project website, which is maintained by Mercury Radio Arts, Beck’s production company but hosted by Fox News, lists the march among many other upcoming 912 events, and provides a link for subscribers to sign up.

The FoxNews.com logo adorns the lower right hand corner of the 912 Project homepage, which indicates it is “Brought to you by FOXNews.com” and links to the network’s website.

Publicists for Fox News and Mercury Radio Arts did not respond to questions about the announcement, or the roles of Beck, Fox or Mercury in The 9.12 Project or planning the march.

Please - not more 3rd party nonsense.

I love his investigative reports & exposing the communists but 3rd party will doom any chance to save America. We need to reform GOP and it looks like we are - see Rubio, JDH (AZ)....and of course, Sarah!

Supporting 3rd party movements is great for the liberal/socialists.

We The People have sewer cleaning to do. The US Congress better start their resume updates now. They’re gone come 2010 and 2012. We’re voting them out forever. American history will list them as traitors to America.

Payback time for their arrogant, in-your-face tyranny.

the populist conservative movement he spawned

Typical Politico.

"Spawned" is a word generally employed to describe the sex life of fish and frogs. And, no, Glenn Beck didn't spawn the populist conservative movement. He simply had the good sense to recognize that it was there, and addressed it, unlike the good folks at Politico.

God bless and protect Glenn and Sarah, that would be an interesting presidential ticket you think? I dont think any other 2 people in this country have motivated and moved conservatives and libertarians like these two have. Id rather have a 3rd party than the corrupt slugs the current two parties are infested with.

“becoming more active in the populist conservative movement he spawned”

If anything, the bailouts/Obama’s election spawned it. Beck just encourages it. As proof, I offer the fact that he had been talking about the same thing for all of 2008, but didn’t get any traction until Obama was in office. Obviously, being on Fox had A LOT to do with it, but he has been a popular radio figure for a while, but nowhere near the pop-culture figure he became after the bailouts and Obama.

THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME Ohaha was electorally castrated Nov 2009. The Dems are headed into a Republican tsunami.....in 2010-12.

Nov's New Jersey race was the shape of things to come for dumbo Dems. The race was considered a "squeaker" that would go on till all hours. But 2 hours after the polls closed, the Repub was declared the winner with a comfortable 4-point margin.

>> Incumbent Dem Jon Corzine (the wealthy loser) outspent the Repub winner Chris Chirstie about 4-1.
>> New Jersey has a huge Democratic registration.
>> Corzine bragged he had 20,000 paid union helpers on the ground election day to get out the vote.
>> There was a third party candidate siphoning off Republican votes.
>> Corzine had the power of incumbency.
>> Corzine had the power of a crooked Democrat Machine cooking the vote.
>> Ohaha hid $17.5 BILLION stimlulus in New Jersey.....for Corzine's reelection campaign.

======================================

OBAMA WAS DESPERATE FOR CORZINE TO WIN TO PROTECT HIS AGENDA---HE KEPT SAYING CORZINE WAS HIS "PARTNER"

Reinforcing the Dem disaster, Obama put the power of the WH machine behind Corzine. The NY Times reported:
(a) every TV ad Corzine put on the air was being screened by Obama's WH team.
(b) Corzine's aides gave the WH daily briefings.
(c) Obama’s pollsters took over for Corzine’s polling team, and,
(d) White House operatives were on the ground for internal strategy sessions,
(e) White House operatives were orchestrating obscure pep rallies with Latinos (kept secret from voters),
(f) Corzine had a "Peruvian Pac" endorsing him.
(g) Ohaha campaigned in the state three times, Biden was there twice. Ohaha TV ads ran relentlessly.
(h) Corzine sucked-up bigtime, promising illegals ‘driving credentials’ & in-state tuition.
(i) Corzine REFUSED to enforce current immigration laws
(j)Corzine formed a Blue Ribbon committee composed of hypenates using tax dollars to mine votes for Corzine.
(k)Also sucking up to illegals was Sen Robert Menendez, a latino Corzine campaigner.

==========================================

NEW JERSEY IS THE BASE FOR IDENTITY FRAUD
Two Texans busted in bogus ID operation in NJ

NORTH BERGEN, NJ -- July 21, 2006 -- Pelcastre brothers, Angel and Jorge, Dallas, Texas, were a walking threat to US national security, expert document forgers who, for a few thousand dollars, could give anyone a new identity, authorities said. The Texas brothers turned a NJ hotel room into a business office and were readying a massive cache of fake Social Security cards for delivery to a local NJ identity broker.

The Texas brothers were a "one-stop shop" for a myriad of fake US documents, including birth certificates, Social Security cards, driver's licenses for any state in the US, passports and resident alien cards, said state police. Officers happened upon two cars bearing Texas plates in a NJ hotel parking lot. Authorities wouldn't identify the NJ hotel by name for fear it would spark retribution. The Drug Interdiction Task Force, regularly runs checks.

The Texas brothers were followed to a NJ office supply store nearby where they purchased computer supplies. Officers then followed the Texans to a NJ storage facility in Secaucus, NJ, where the Texans loaded several boxes into a car. One of them stood lookout. Authorities approached the Texas brothers when they returned to the NJ hotel and questioned them separately. The Texas brothers consented to a search.

Police recovered laminating sheets with built-in security features, pages of blank documents waiting for fake names and information, finished documents, computers and software to create the fake IDs.

All told, the haul was worth about $500,000 on the street. Police also recovered $6,000 in cash, which was the first payment from a NJ fake document broker for a shipment of 500 Social Security cards.

=======================================

The Republican Lieutenat Governor candidate WHO WON, former County Sheriff Kim Guadagno, had applied for the federal 287(g) program, which would seek to question every inmate coming to the County jail about his or her immigration status, regardless of the offense for which they are incarcerated. Sheriff Guadagno had sought to ensure that "criminals" are not unduly released for fear of further harm to the community. The 287(g) program would provide the sheriff with personnel and tools to punish individuals being held at the County jail, even if they do not meet the criteria set forth by Corzine's sucking up to illegals. Illegals lacerated Sheriff Guadagno for political pandering and for scouting incidents of indictable offenses such as driving under the influence by undocumented immigrants.

========================================

FOREGONE CONCLUSION Pulling out all the stops for Corzine made Ohaha a VERY good target for those disgusted with Ohaha’s policies. Harken to the White House's frantic spinning.......”the 2009 elections weren’t about us...except the one we won, that one's all about us, that one proves that the whole country loves us, and wants socialized medicine.” (Snicker)

KEEP IN MIND >> Some 80% of the federal stim (read slush fund) remains unspent. Ohaha is saving it to finance 2010 Dem candidates. >> Ohaha placed Biden in charge of the stim disbursement.
