If you create a new thread, feel free to post a link to it here as well. If you post a link, you don't have to ping it to me..just take my name out of the ping field. The last time it filled my ping box pretty fast. My thanks to ALL who helped create the previous thread.

New thread.. It’s too late for me to look for all the new links right now. Will work on it tomorrow. I spent too much time trying to remove the weird html code that fr’s software added to the previous thread. It messed up the links, and made the images broken. For example, it added for (br /) but with arrows.
Am starting a new thread..if you think your islam-list would be interested, feel free to ping them. I’ll be compiling the threads from the past week and posting them here, along with the newer ones. Thanks...
Last week, Maj. Nadil Malik Hasan was indicted on 13 counts of murder for the shootings at Fort Hood which took place on Nov. 5. Missing from the list of victims is the three-month-old unborn child of Private Francheska Velez.
The Alliance Defense Fund, a legal alliance of Christian attorneys, has sent a letter to the Office of Staff Judge Advocate at Fort Hood requesting that the murder of Velez's child be included in the case against Malik.
It would cause a severe and negative impact on morale if Army women were made to believe that the Army valued their children less than they did adult victims of crime. We respectfully request that you enforce UCMJ Article 119a against the suspect," the ADF's letter stated.
Velez, who was three months pregnant, had just returned from Iraq, and was a month away from going home to Chicago on maternity leave.
Thanks to the Uniform Code of Military Justice, Article 119a, also known as Laci and Connor's Law, which was signed into existence by President George W. Bush in 2004, anyone who inflicts violence upon a pregnant woman which leads to the death of the child, whether or not the perpetrator was aware the woman was pregnant, is criminally liable for the death of the child.
The law resulted from the disappearance, and subsequent death of Laci Peterson, of Modesto, Calif, who was seven months pregnant with her son Connor at the time. Laci's husband Scott was later convicted of first degree murder of his wife and second degree murder of his unborn son.
The State of Texas also passed a Prenatal Protection Act in 2003. They have also established a precedent as they charged a man who killed his pregnant girlfriend with a shotgun with capital murder, defined as causing the death of "more than one person... during the same criminal transaction."
Under the law, Maj. Nadil Malik Hasan can be held criminally liable for the death of Velez's child, referred to as Baby Velez. However, at this point in time, Army officials have only indicated that additional charges against Hasan are under consideration.
A procession led by the Patriot Guard escorted the body of Private Francheska Velez through her hometown.
Velez, who was six weeks pregnant, was killed in the shootings at Fort Hood on November 5. She had returned from Iraq three days earlier and was filling out paperwork related to her pregnancy when Major Nidal Malik Hasan allegedly opened fire.
At 10 a.m. the plane carrying Velez's body landed at Chicago's Midway Airport. Twelve days ago, Velez and a dozen others were killed in the shooting at Fort Hood.
"When we walked in and they took the body out of the plane it was heartbreaking. It was a beautiful ceremony what they did& Overall it was very hard and a really sad moment for all of us," said Sandy Rivera, cousin.
At least thirty people--all strangers-- gathered outside the hangar where Velez's body was transferred to a waiting hearse. Two of them were chosen to go inside and personally pay tribute. But even for those who stayed outside it was an emotional time.
"I'm grateful that the patriots came and got me and my mom to come in and present the flag of the U.S. for her and her family. It was just so heartbreaking," said Michele Guerrero, who came to pay her respects.
"It's important to show respect for those who serve our country so that we have what we have& our rights as U.S. citizens," said Manny Lopez.
Once the ceremony was concluded, a procession, led by the Patriot Guard took Velez's body through the city, first past her former high school, Kelvin Park, and finally to a Northwest Side funeral home. Throughout the procession, people saluted the hearse. Patriot Guard Dave Hume has led many of these processions, but this one, he says, was harder.
"To have someone killed on your own soil is a different story. You don't expect that to happen," said Hume.
Pvt. Francheska Velez, who was killed in the Fort Hood shooting spree, was laid to rest on Thursday on the Northwest side.
Only one of the 13 people (right) killed in the Fort Hood massacre was a civilian. And that's no accident, The Austin American-Statesman reports today.
Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan apparently targeted soldiers and avoided others nearby, U.S. Rep. John Carter and an anonymous source close to the investigation told the paper.
The story makes sense in light of previous reports that Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, had ties to a radical Muslim cleric in Yemen, Anwar al-Awlaki. Before the massacre, the imam advocated killing soldiers who fight against Muslims; afterward, he called Hasan a hero.
Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the suspect in the Fort Hood shooting rampage, appears to have targeted soldiers and deliberately passed over civilians as he fired more than 100 rounds, according to U.S. Rep. John Carter and a source close to the investigation.
Carter, whose district includes Fort Hood, told the American-Statesman on Wednesday that Hasan shot one soldier three times until he fell, then shot the soldier three more times when it was apparent he was still alive. Carter said Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, trained his handguns on civilians in the Soldier Readiness Processing Center but would shake his head and move on.
He’s so excited about the flag he has to coveer that part of his body. Ok, maybe not.
The family of Army specialist Kham S. Xiong grieves after passing by his photo at the memorial service for the 12 soldiers and one civilian killed at Fort Hood U.S Army Post near Killeen, Texas, USA 10 November 2009. Army Major Malik Nadal Hasan reportedly shot and killed 13 people, 12 soldiers and one civilian, and wounded 30 others in a rampage 05 November at the bases Soldier Readiness Center where deploying and returning soldiers undergo medical screenings.
If people want on or off this list, please let me know.
Did you check out the guidelines on this link before posting. Could that have anything to do with the problem?
Here is a lengthy story from the Minneapolis Star Tribune :(God bless all the loved ones and friends):
No, I had taken the source code (in microsoft explorer you click view , then source) directly from the old thread, saved them...then copied and pasted every post that had links, quotes etc.. But the code was modified so much that it would take a few hrs to fix.
Captain Saralyn Ative (L) comforts Captain Michael Worsley as they wait for the start of the memorial service for the 12 soldiers and one civilian killed at Fort Hood U.S Army Post near Killeen, Texas, USA 10 November 2009.
Oh, my! I’m just a novice at codes, but, from the little I do know, I can understand that is quite a chore!
I know that some people use programs to make webpages, I wish I knew how to use those because maybe it would have saved me time..I have no idea. I’m like you, self-taught..just know the basic html to make simple webpages.
Thank you so much for adding the memorials Starwise..
Same here. I keep saying that I’m going to learn, but never seem to get around to it.
Tragedy at Ft Hood (This needs EXPOSURE) (Ret Lt Col Allen West)
"On Thursday, 5 November 2009 Ft Hood became a part of the battlefield in the war against Islamic totalitarianism and state sponsored terrorism.
There may be those who feel threatened by my words and would even recommend they not be uttered. To those individuals I say step aside because now is not the time for cowardice. Our Country has become so paralyzed by political correctness that we have allowed a vile and determined enemy to breach what should be the safest place in America, an Army post.
We have become so politically correct that our media is more concerned about the stress of the shooter, Major Nidal Malik Hasan. The misplaced benevolence intending to portray him as a victim is despicable. The fact that there are some who have now created an entire new classification called; pre-virtual vicarious Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is unconscionable.
This is not a man caused disaster. It is what it is, an Islamic jihadist attack. "
"In 1993, a secret meeting of the Muslim Brotherhood Palestine Committeemostly senior Hamas leaders--was held in a Philadelphia Marriott. The group discussed new ways to secretly funnel money to Hamas and of creating a new public relations organization to deceive the American about their true objectives of helping Hamas."
"Seager, 51, of Racine, Wis., was a psychiatrist who joined the Army a few years ago because he wanted to help veterans returning to civilian life, said his uncle, Larry Seager of Mauston. Russell Seager's brother-in-law, Dennis Prudhomme, said Seager had worked with soldiers at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Milwaukee who were suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. He also taught classes at Bryant & Stratton College in Milwaukee, said Prudhomme, who is married to Seager's sister.
"The prosecutor in this case is not assigned the responsibility to take a look into the process of how to keep America safe. That is the responsibility of Congress," he said. "It has to happen now. This is not something we should take weeks or months to wait on." ..."
Kim, this is exceptional and we cannot thank you enough for your dedication to showcasing and saving all the reporting on this terrible, unthinkable Second 9/11 on our country. God Bless Our Troops.
This photo says so much, touches my heart, and as always your work is beautiful.
I felt bad I couldn’t work on it this past week, but I had no choice. I however do very much appreciate your fallen soldiers thread, thank YOU for doing that. When I link about individual fallen soldiers etc, I’ll put the link to their threads at the top of my posts...so you can look in the future to see if there are any you might have missed.
This photo says so much, touches my heart, and as always your work is beautiful.
You should use it for your thread too....
Excellent Kim! That is some work! Thanks for the heads up.
I have been trying to find the thread for the past 30 minutes that proved the pic was out of context, his hand was over his heart, he had removed it a few seconds early. The discussion also included information about a pic from memorial day or veterans day and getting it confused with the ceremony. While I DON’T wish to defend him, I do not like us getting duped. I could kick myself for not bookmarking it. The information about that hand over heart is not show in the title, making it even worse to try to find. I give up. :-p
There can be no doubt that Major Nidal Hasan became radicalized, planned his jihad (holy war), and murdered thirteen people at Fort Hood, Texas. He had calling cards printed with "SoA" and "SWT" placed under his name. SoA means Soldier of Allah, and SWT, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala means Glory to God (Allah). Was Hasan's murder spree an act of terrorism? By my definition, yes. The Secretary of Homeland Security will probably declare it to be a "Man-caused disaster."
"...In the immediate hours and days following after, the mainstream media began its grotesque dance of liberal apologetics. Steadfastly, they blamed and continue to blame everything and everyone BUT this muslim murderer and cowardly terrorist for the senseless serial murders. Sally Quinn, liberal journalist for the Washington Post, (surprise,a liberal newspaper) appeared on various shows REFUSING to admit that it was a terrorist act. A (conservative, of course) interviewer asked her if Hasan had to strap on a bomb and blow himself up, or fly a plane into that center to be considered a "terrorist" and she disregarded the question, instead continuedly calling for the Army and the FBI to be investigated. Really, Ms.Quinn? REALLY? Do you think we, the American public, are THAT STUPID that we would buy this overt and insulting liberal spin? How about you, Evan Thomas? Do you honestly have the NERVE to appear on national tv, bemoaning the fact that this guy was coincidentally muslim because it will provide grist for the Republican mill? How do you have that time, sir, to shoot your mouth off so prolifically while you SIMULTANEOUSLY drive your once respected magazine (Newsweek) off a cliff into the deep chasm of total irrelevance? You are pathetic, sir. Studies have proved that 85% of the major network coverage DID NOT USE THE WORD "TERRORIST" or "TERRORISM" in the aftermath of this attack on American soil. REALLY, ABC, NBC, CNN AND CBS? Really? Do you all truly believe that we are just fools who (as our President so famously said last year), "cling to our guns and religion" and are too stupid to figure out on our own (because you sure aren't telling us the truth) that a Mulsim jihadist attacked us on our own soil? ..."
"The Army has guidelines on how to deal with racist views and actions within the ranks, but none on how to deal with Islamic jihadism, a former Army vice chief of staff told Congress on Thursday.
Retired Army Gen. John M. Keane said this absence of guidance fostered a politically correct reluctance to investigate the man accused in the Fort Hood shootings, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan. "
SOME GOOD RESEARCH ON THIS OLDER THREAD:
American Spectator ^ | 11/9/2009 | Prowler
...While it is true that alleged Fort Hood shooter, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, never served in an any role for the Obama Administrations transition team, the White House was concerned enough about Hasans appearance on a list of attendees at a homeland security conference that it ran a check on Hasan before President Obama made impromptu remarks about the shooting last week. ...
Aww .. it’s so so sad ... the hearts broken,
the lives destroyed ... needlessly.
Welcome .. ;)
Holding American flags, solemn crowds gathered today to pay their respects to U.S. Army Pfc. Michael Pearson a 22-year-old Bolingbrook resident killed in a mass shooting at Fort Hood last week.
Shortly after 10 a.m., a white Learjet carrying Pearsons body arrived at Chicagos Midway Airport. A dozen soldiers lined up near 63rd and Long as the Patriot Guard Riders pulled out of the south entrance to the airport. Amazing Grace played in the background as Dames Funeral Homes silver Cadillac hearse carrying Pearsons flag-draped casket pulled out, followed by a car with his family members inside. "
The ranking Republican on the House intelligence committee on Tuesday night accused the White House of withholding information on the Fort Hood attack.
Rep. Pete Hoekstra (Mich.) said administration officials delayed briefing members of Congress about the alleged gunman, raising "red flags" about what the White House was hiding.
"When they withhold information, you always start asking questions," Hoekstra told Fox News. "That's what raises red flags. What do they know that they don't want us to know?"
DON'T WANT US DUPED AGAIN~
Obama DID Have His Hand On His Heart On Memorial Day (Photo Was Misleading)
"...Look at 2:33-2:37 the video clearly shows he does have hand on heart and then the camera pans away. Camera returns at 2:56 and Obama still has hand on heart till 2:59 when camera pans away again. ..."

Welcome to FreeRepublic..see post #35 There are pictures with his hand over his heart too.
Thanx and thanx
Forgot to ping you, here’s the new thread.
In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging, he laments. I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.

WASHINGTONU.S. Congressman Todd Tiahrt (pronounced TEE-hart), R-Kan., released the following statement in response to heinous accusations from Mayor Bloombergs political organization Mayors Against Illegal Guns. On Monday the Bloomberg organization paid for a full-page advertisement in the Washington Post assigning blame for the Fort Hood massacre, in part, to firearm policy authored by Tiahrt and approved by Congress since 2002.
The mayors who politicized the tragic deaths of those whose lives were taken along with the dozens who sustained injuries at Fort Hood should immediately issue a public apology to the victims and their families, said Tiahrt. Their use of soldiers deaths, their smear campaign against me, and their attempt to deceitfully change public policy disgraces their reputations as public servants. Using the Fort Hood massacre to advance a devious ad campaign dishonors the freedoms our men and women in uniform have paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect. Americans everywhere should be outraged and demand that each of these mayors be held accountable.
Sixty-three percent (63%) of U.S. voters say political correctness prevented the military from responding to warning signs from Major Nidal Malik Hasan that could have prevented the Fort Hood shootings from taking place.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that just 16% disagree and do not believe political correctness kept military authorities from possibly stopping the killing of 13 people and the wounding of many others in the November 5 incident. Twenty-one percent (21%) are not sure.
Voters also have very mixed feelings about how President Obama and the Army responded to the Fort Hood incident.
Older Americans are more suspicious of political correctness than voters under 40. Whites were more likely than African-Americans to think political correctness kept the military from responding to warning signs from Hasan.
Politically correctas if any other way of thinking, speaking, or behaving, is incorrect.
If you are politically incorrect, then you are not following the party lineyour politics are somehow out of sync, and you must be brought back into alignment with the correct, approved way of thinking, speaking, and behavingfor the good of the collective.
As the Star Trek Borg would say, Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell Reports: How Liberals Think in War
July 3, 2007 | By Jack Yoest
The only time a manager should shout or bark out an order demanding instant obedience is if the building is on fire: an emergency.
Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell had a few minutes to make a decision and decided to take a vote. It wasnt an emergency, just yet.
(Get the whole story
It was the stupidest, most southern-fried, lamebrained decision I ever made in my life, Luttrell writes. I must have been out of my mind. I had actually cast a vote which I knew could sign our death warrant. Id turned into a (expletive) liberal, a half-assed, no-logic nitwit, all heart, no brain, and the judgment of a jack rabbit.
Marcus Luttrell tells his story in Lone Survivor and is reported in A war hero from Huntsville rues a decision made in Afghanistan, By FRITZ LANHAM in the Houston Chronicle,
In June 2005, on a barren mountain high in the Taliban-infested Hindu Kush, Luttrell and three fellow Navy SEALs came together to talk.
Their mission to locate and possibly take out an important Taliban leader hiding in the Afghan village below had just been compromised.
Three goatherds, one a boy of about 14, had blundered onto their position.
Military discipline is the prompt obediance to orders or the initiation of appropiate action in the absence of orders. In the absence of clear rules of engagement, Marcus Luttrell was on his own. Which is what military officers and civilian managers expect to make decisions on minimal information.
As they saw it, they had two options: kill the Afghans, or let them go and hope for the best. They let them go.
Its a decision Luttrell bitterly regrets.
Marcus Luttrell made the decision balancing a possible murder charge which would have been demanded by the main stream media with the American lives for which he was responsible.
Within hours, more than 100 Taliban fighters descended on the SEAL team. In the terrible gun battle that followed, Murphy, Axelson and Dietz died. A few miles away, a Taliban grenade brought down a rescue helicopter on its way to help the trapped men, killing all 16 aboard. It was the worst day in the 40-year history of the Navy SEALs.
Marcus Luttrell made the wrong decision. He was thinking like a liberal instead of a military officer.
He reports that Axelson favored killing the goatherds. Dietz was neutral. Murphy and Luttrell voted to let them go.
In war every death of a military service member is a public event. Liberal influence has made difficult decisions nearly impossible to get right. Liberals have put our military in a no-win situation.
Losing is what liberals seem to want.
