Racially motivated downtown attacks

The Denver Police Department arrested 32 men and juvenile boys after a months-long undercover investigation into what police said were racially motivated assaults and robberies in downtown Denver, including the LoDo entertainment district.
A task force composed of Denver police, the FBI and the Denver district attorney's office investigated 26 incidents in which groups of black males verbally harassed, assaulted and at times robbed white or Latino males, according to Denver Police Chief Gerry Whitman.
All of the suspects are young black males, most of whom told police they were associated with either the Rollin' 60s Crips gang or the Black Gangster Disciples gang.

Amazing story. It uses the term “racially motivated” three times in the first paragraph and references race at least a dozen times. Yet it never mentions the race of the attackers. Amish farmers?

These crimes might be “racially motivated” but they aren’t “hate” crimes, nosiree!

The suspects have already had job offers as ‘greeters’ at various polling places for 2010.
I don’t understand this.Only whites are racist.There has been a huge mistake.Jesse Jacko*f will straighten them out.

Shocking - to see this in the paper. I would suspect someone close to a senior editor at the paper got mugged.

For a moment, I was sure that several dozen Amish had moved to Denver.
I’m sure the newspaper will get letters criticizing it.
