What does a senate vote on health care reform cost these days? (Call Orkin . Get Rid Of the Rats!)

Well, if you're Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, the wages of sin just got pretty darned expensive, as Jonathan Karl at ABC News reports:

On page 432 of the Reid bill, there is a section increasing federal Medicaid subsidies for "certain states recovering from a major disaster."

The section spends two pages defining which "states" would qualify, saying, among other things, that it would be states that "during the preceding 7 fiscal years" have been declared a "major disaster area."

I am told the section applies to exactly one state: Louisiana, the home of moderate Democrat Mary Landrieu, who has been playing hard to get on the health care bill.

In other words, the bill spends two pages describing would could be written with a single world: Louisiana. (This may also help explain why the bill is long.)

Senator Harry Reid, who drafted the bill, cannot pass it without the support of Louisiana's Mary Landrieu.

How much does it cost? According to the Congressional Budget Office: $100 million.

One vote, $100 million. After all, it's not like they're spending real money. As long as Harry Reid and the Democrats have their grubby little hands on the government printing press, they can manufacturer as much fake money as their blackhearts desire.

So looking at it from Harry Reid's point of view, Landrieu's vote cost nothing at all. Just another hundred million dollars that taxpayers - someday - are going to have to pay for.

Well, now that we have established exactly what they are, we can negotiate the price I guess, eh?

Both major parties are spending our kids future freely. Both need to be reformed severally. I no longer trust Republicans to stand for what is right, and I never trusted the Dumbocrates.

The libs are already rationing healthcare based on politics, and they haven’t even passed the bill.

She said she did not sell her soul to Obama for 100 million but she sold it 300 million, well that makes it better, still 30 pieces of silver would equate to 300 million when accounting for inflation. She very much enjoyed to do sex with Obama and the gang, see her smile. She's all about money honey!

Sounds as if she’s pretty much been bought and paid for.

This pay-off to Mary Landrieu using taxpayer money is to influence her vote and placate voters upset with her yes vote on the health plan monstrosity.

This gives us an early view of what we will see in 2010 and 2012 as Obama uses the hundreds of Billions in unspent Simulus money to back democrat incumbents and give them cover with upset voters.

Landreiu, apparently thinking her state would believe she sold out too cheaply, said that it wasn’t $100 million, it was $300 million.

Now, it’s bad enough that they spend taxpayer money to buy votes.

But in this particular case, it is downright immoral. Because this isn’t some extra money for pork projects. No, the bill itself is going to greatly increase the medicare costs to states.

The states KNOW that the bill increases their costs, and the senators know that the people in the state will immediately understand that the senators are responsible for their taxes going up.

So what Reid has done is to exempt certain states from the medicare INCREASES. One of the states is Nevada, and one of the states getting medicare help now is Loiusiana. We are too believe that, if Mary had voted no, Reid would have taken their money, punishing the citizens of the state for how their senator voted.

The founders wanted all taxes to be applied equally to everybody, because allowing people to vote to steal money from others is wrong. But here Reid is specifically buying senate votes by changing who gets screwed by his bill.

The only saving grace is that the REALLY blue states, the ones where there is no chance of the democrat losing, are getting screwed.

In Congress, the world’s largest brothel, the recent disgusting acts of political prostitution have taken lewd and lascivious behavior to depths previously unknown.

It will be an interesting reply.

I think the only way we are going to reform Washington is with a constitutional convention.

Members of the executive branch, Senate, House of representatives shall be charged with bribery as defined below and if convicted shall serve a minimum of 10 years and 250,000 fine.

Any citizen can request an investigation of any member of Congress or executive branch.

Bribery- Any payment made directly or indirectly to a member of congress or their family members to secure support of legislation. Payments shall include any legislation that gives an individual state preference over another state directly or indirectly.

Any promises of positions with the federal government by any member of congress or the executive branch in support of their bills or their election.

Bribery charges can be brought against any member of congress up to five years of leaving office. Special Interest language:
No bill will include special interest payments, grants or taxpayer money and no language not directly related to the title of the bill shall be part of the bill.

Yeah, I agree...I misstated as if it was just the dummocrates...they all have to go as even the GOPers have come to believe they have received their entitled seating in government. A new broom sweeps clean.

I know this is wishful thinking but if I had my way we would start over with a new cast of characters complete with a new bunch of staffers.
