THOMSON, Ill., Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Thousands of jobs would be created in Illinois if the U.S. government purchases a nearly empty prison there to house terror detainees, a study indicates.
The study, performed by the Obama White House Council of Economic Advisers and obtained by The Chicago Sun-Times, asserted that 2,290 to 2,960 jobs would be created in and around Thomson, Ill., in the first year after its conversion to house some of the prisoners now held at the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, detention facility, the newspaper reported Sunday.
Local residents in the Illinois-Iowa border town would be "good candidates" to fill 1,240 to 1,410 of those jobs, the report indicated.

they want them , well OK, and are they going to cry when they either escape, there is a terrorist act or even a massive riot which could result in deaths of guards of course in the name of the peaceful religion islam.
so creating some jobs is better than the security of this country plus the cost to house them here.

They should farm out some of their overpopulation to IL.

One thing I thought that came out of the Palin-O’Reilly interview was putting the inmates from Guantanamo at the closed Navy base on Adak in Alaska....they would love going from the warmth and luxury of Guantanamo to the freezing hell of Adak. I would even agree to that move.
Oops, new congress jobs in ‘10 and perhaps an intelligent set of beings in the White House in ‘12...not ‘10.
