Well with all due respect, this IS a thread about and against RINOs. And I haven’t seen anyone so viciously attacked lately as Newt has been by various freepers calling him a RINO. Ergo, the correlation and thus, my posts re: Newt. Does that clear up your confusion a bit?
And again, with all due respect, I DID ask for reasons (not just more unsourced accusations) that freepers are calling Newt a RINO. As for your comment about him saying that conservatism is dead, I missed that. I find it odd, since he still considers himself a conservative. Got a link?
The one environmental ad he did does not qualify him as being a global warming supporter, which in your mind probably equates to Al Gore and similar morons. Sorry. Not buying that.

In other words, unless you can point me to a site/link proving your claims, I will continue to think (or know) that you’re ‘full of it’. You and others like you that are making these claims and NOT backing them up with any source or proof. Looks to me like there’s a contingent here that’s scared chitless that Newt is gonna run for President, which would explain all the preemptive attacks.
I didn’t say newt coddles pedophiles. I said he supported a rino who coddled pedophiles. That would be scozzafava. As for the Conservatism is dead thing, there was a whole trainload of stuff about it at the time. He and Rush went toe to toe over it publicly, and Rush still mentions it every time newt steps in it. Find the links yourself. If you don’t know about it, it’s either because you are unserious, or you do know about it and are trying to pull our chains.
Since everybody else who ever listened to Rush, which numbers in the more than a few on FR, knows about it, I got to believe you are a tad off kilter here, and I am not into arguing for your pleasure. If you want entertainment, go watch Larry King reruns or something.
