Question for Palin Supporters. What will you do if Sarah does not win the '12 pub nomination?
11-28-09 | Bob J

I understand most Palin supporters have already handed her the '12 nomination, but a primary can be unpredictable and bruising. My question is, what will you do if for some reason Sarah does not win the '12 pub nomination? Stay home, vote 3rd party or support the nominee (if it is one of todays potential but established candidates)?

This is a "what if" question. If you don't have the capacity to contemplate a Palin primary loss then please find another thread on which to slobber and slander (although I seriously doubt this request will be honored).

I voted for the RINO who picked Palin for VP. Was that McCain? I forget.

The problem is that Obama is decidedly against American values and is anti-freedom. RINOs are different only in degree.

I don't agree at all. Generally speaking, RINO's like McCain, Grahamnesty, Collins vote conservative about half the time and they vote liberal about half the time.

A tyrant like Obama is a statist 100% of the time (or close to it).

All one needs to do is look at the voting records to see the difference.

Hey, I have no problem if one wishes not to vote for a RINO (when given the choice of a RINO or Obama). But I do have a problem with someone who rationalizes that vote by comparing a RINO to a 100% certified tyrant as being only different in degree.

I don’t have a preferred candidate as of today. As far as I can tell, no one has announced they’re running yet.

Let’s do this, if Sarah loses and you can’t support any of the established potential nominees, who would you support?

If 0bama announces he’s running for reelection, no Democrat will dare to challenge him for the nomination. Therefore the Dem primaries will be foregone conclusions and nobody will have to vote in them. Then, all the Democrats will be free to switch parties for the purpose of voting in Republican primaries, hoping to secure the nomination of the weakest Republican in the herd. And that’s not Sarah Palin.

Dems will vote for “anybody but Palin” in Republican primaries. They fear her, with good reason. We need to do something to avert this possibility, and do it now, not later.

That is precisely my concern as well. But, with the leadership the party has now I confess I see no obvious answer other than for all primary voters to recognize the "Operation Chaos" scenario if it unfolds, and unify around a candidate whom conservatives can enthusiastically support.

And IMHO the logical person for that role is: Sarah Palin.

The question is how to keep a Huckabee from splitting the conservative vote. And perhaps in that context the threat of a split is as necessary as it is unavoidable. Perhaps the best outcome of this book tour would be a

Draft
Palin

movement, before anyone else has a chance to lay the groundwork for a run.

In 2001, there was a "Recall McCain" campaign going on in Arizona before 9/11. I called for that to happen back in the mid-90s. When they shut down the recall campaign after 9/11, I told the people running the recall that it was a mistake. So yes, I know, and have known since the 80s, who and what that POS was and is. He has dishonored my state, he has dishonored the country and he has dishonored my Navy. I'd say he has dishonored himself, but he is WITHOUT honor.

And to answer your question, am I proud of myself? Not voting for McLame is NOTHING to be ashamed of. The fact is that if he had been elected, we'd already have cap-n-tax, universal healthcare and all the other marxist programs that this administration is trying to get passed, only it would have been with repukelician support.

I have nothing but loathing and contempt for that rooster-sucking marxist POS, as I do for the current _resident in the (once) White House.

I will NEVER again vote for the lesser of evils. EVIL is still EVIL, regardless of degree.

For BobJ: the question was posed to you:

Who is your candidate?
99% on FR who bash and make snarky remarks about Sarah Palin will not say who they support saying it is too early or I don’t know because they can’t defend their candidate and can’t take the heat.

And your "reply" at #231 was as predicted. I don’t have a preferred candidate as of today. As far as I can tell, no one has announced they’re running yet.

I have been asked to give you the benefit of the doubt by others and work with you on stuff, because of the "good" you've done in the past for FR and conservative causes. NOPE, you're as big an idiot and "party uber alles" dirtbag as BunnySlippers is. If you're involved in any conservative cause, I'll presume it's because you're there to derail it and let my views be known to everyone else involved. You disgust me almost as much as McLame and the current _resident of 1600 Penna. Ave.

Jim, if this post is out of line, please feel free to give me my timeout ..... :D

Sorry, I'm no longer interested in playing the game ‘vote for x, because y is REALLY awful.’ If x wants my vote, they can campaign for it, represent my views, views that time and time again surveys have shown reflect the majority of Americans.

My vote is no longer a given, no longer free, no longer for rent, unlike my party. Even to unseat the dreaded Obama.

I see your point, but respectfully submit it amounts to asking to be garroted rather than shot. We are dead either way, It's just slower to be garroted. Either way, RINO or Obama, it's the end of the Republic.

The only way to reverse the disastrous trend of the post-Reagan years is to find someone who will stop voting for red socialism “half” the time and pink socialism the other half.

So what? There are other ways of promoting a candidate, such as talking to the big money supporters and making sure that they all support the guy the party wants by convincng them that there’s only one “electable” candidate.

McCain has come out strongly against government run health care. Yet he is a RINO as far as I’m concerned.

Same thing happened to me.

Sometimes you are better off with the RINO rather than a full blown America hating Socialist like Obama and his wife. We can’t handle another 4 years of Obama. I want him OUT!

I went to the mall to help boost the economy and when I came back was excitedly looking forward to finding out the coveted answer to the oft asked question (of Palin bashers) ...."who will you vote for?"

Imagine my surprise when I discovered there was still no answer! Imagine that?!

Isn’t this typical.
The Palin bashers are ashamed and embarrassed as to who
they support knowing their candidate will not win out in
the primaries against Palin.

Bob is probably a little worried that if they foist a RINO as the nominee, Palin fans will not support that person (ahem...Romney??).

So to compensate for this fear, he attacks Palin fans "slobbering" loyalty.

Also called shooting oneself in the foot.

There is also the problem of those stuck back in the 19th Cen.
They don’t want a woman for President and know if stated this, they will be blasted for the next years to come
so using the Lib MSM mantras against Palin is the next best thing for this type.

Bulls--t Bob
You know that candidates aren't going to declare outright but are working behind the scenes preparing.
Pawlenty, Romney, Huckabee, and possible Daniels of Indiana all have their eye on the WH and are unofficially running.
So get your finger out of the wind and defend your pick instead of pissing on Palin supporters under the guise of "looking out" for us.
