Member of Netanyahu's party: Obama regime is 'worst ever' for Israel; Vice PM cancels lecture after rightist protest.
Rank-and-file Likudniks and lawmakers in the ruling Likud party lambasted the Obama administration at a gathering on Saturday, in response to Israel's decision to temporarily freeze construction in West Bank settlements.
MK Dani Danon organized the meeting after Culture and Sports Minister Limor Livnat (Likud) launched a verbal attack over the matter on U.S. President Barack Obama's administration, which she branded "terrible."
While Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu immediately distanced himself from her comments, the activists at Saturday's conference leveled further criticism at Obama over the moratorium, which Israel undertook to carry out in the wake of tremendous U.S. pressure.
"The Obama administration is an enemy of the Jews and the worst regime there ever was for the State of Israel," said Yossi Naim, the head of the Beit Aryeh regional council, at the Ra'ana meeting. "I announce to Obama: You won't be able to stop us."
The mayor of the West Bank settlement of Ariel, Ron Nahman, called Netanyahu's announcement of the settlement freeze a disgrace.
Directing his comments to Livnat, he said: "I am proud and happy that you said what you said, because you had the public courage to say what most of the public feels ever since Obama came to power."
Nahman repeatedly referred to the U.S. leader as "Hussein Obama," omitting his first name.

HAIFA, ISRAEL - NOVEMBER 17: In this handout photo provided by the Israeli Government Press Office (GPO), Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a visit to an Israeli navy base on November 17, 2009 in Haifa, Israel.
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrives to a news conference in his office in Jerusalem November 25, 2009. Israel announced on Wednesday a plan to limit settlement construction for 10 months in a bid to revive peace negotiations with the Palestinians who said the partial moratorium did not meet their terms for talks.
Well, they're probably right in that Obama is interested in being seen as having advanced a solution, which he'll call peace, but which in reality won't be in the interest of the Jews. On the other hand they should have a rally to blast the Netanyahu administration in response to Israel's decision to temporarily freeze construction...not America's decision. Of couse their 'enemy of the Jews' position I think would have more power if they acted like Jews and abided by the Shabbat.
Stop showing all these manly pix of Bibi. He is just bending over to Obama and to Hamas like their bitch. He is obsessed with satisfying the Israeli media by releasing terrorists for that baby-faced doofus Schalit who they captured in Gaza. He should let him stay captured and tell his stupid family to shut up. And he had no reason to do a “settlement” freeze for the Jew -hating Obama. Hussein Obama has no ability to get Congress to punish Israel, so why is Bibi so afraid of America’s “First Imam”?
I’m not sure “fury” adequately covers the sentiment.
I’ve heard at least one open call in the Israeli media to, quote, “overthrow the government.”

Very bad times coming up for everybody.
Obama is an enemy of the USA, the grandest place on earth.
What? I don’t know where to begin with your comments.
Thank you Cinnamon Girl. This is so sad, I really like BiBi and always have. I wish he did not give in to the horrible Obama.
My hope is that Bibi has a larger strategy afoot.......and that it is revealed soon.

Oh, yum. I’ll just look at this instead of having breakfast ;-).
I'm sorry that Bibi does anything at all to placate the Zero administration and its orc-hordes, but this seems to be a gesture that's not going to make much difference, except symbolically.
(/looking on the bright side ...)
What a man, what a great leader. The REAL people in this Country embrace Israel and are 100% behind Israel and want to help them in ANY way we can.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, left, and Cabinet Secretary Tzvi Hauser are seen outside the cabinet meeting room in Jerusalem, Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009. Netanyahu heads to Berlin on Monday for a special joint session of the German and Israeli governments, a symbolic visit that highlights the strong bond between the two nations six decades after the Holocaust.
I have read Bibi’s writing, listened to his speeches, and watched him debate over many years. He is far more intelligent and rational than his detractors. Whatever he does, I’ll wager there is a reason for it.
Matter of fact, I don't trust ours at...ALL.
OH OH Bibi doesn’t look amused in that photo I think he got off the phone with our fav Kenya born US President LOL!
OH OH CG
BIBI IS SICK according to Israel National news
I think alot of FReepers are jumping to unwarranted conclusions. Bibi is more than likely crazy like a fox. Consider that he has a much more grand strategy at work — and he knows what’s coming, what HAS to come — so, he’s getting all his duckies in a row.
First, this “concession” of no new building on the West Bank for 10 months is a “red herring.” He KNEW the Palestinians would reject it. He KNEW it would appear to be a concession and act of cooperation with the West — especially the Obama Regime; and he knew just as surely that Obama would never accept that, and would press for more (like the release of 1,000 more Palestinian terrorists). It behooves Bibi to make it seem he is “going along” with the Obamunists for the moment — even if he knows the Obamunists and Palestinians will NEVER accept his position OR [for that matter] Israel’s right to exist.
Consider that Iran just announced today they are going to build another TEN uranium processing facilities. They already have enough to construct a bomb, and their missile technology is now approaching the ability to deliver a small nuclear warhead.
Consider that Israeli diplomats have secretly visited Oman [most recently] and Saudi Arabia back in the summer to conduct “secret talks.” Oman is strategically located to the South and East of Iran, across the Gulf of Oman and the extremely important Strait of Hormuz” from Iran.
Consider that in late spring/early summer, several Israeli warships traversed the Suez Canal in Egypt, making their way into the Red Sea, where it has been reported the Saudi’s have secretly leased an island to the Israeli Defense Force as a “staging area.”
Putting these factors into the mix, it is reasonable to speculate that Bibi is putting together all the elements and pieces he needs to execute a serious attack on Iran’s nuclear capabilities. And considering that Iran has run huge air raid and war drills in the last couple of weeks, they are not blind to that likelihood either.
Now, from THAT perspective, it might be wise and discrete NOT to put more Israeli’s on the West Bank, as either construction workers OR new residents, WHEN the time comes to launch such an attack... Netanyahu doesn’t have the luxury of tunnel vision when facing down the enemies of Israel — they SURROUND his small nation.
Netanyahu knows that if — no, WHEN — he launches an attack, (1) the Palestinians will FLOOD the streets in Gaza and the West Bank calling for Jewish blood (2) Hezbollah, Iran’s Shi’ite militia in Lebanon will AGAIN launch THOUSANDS of missiles at Israel’s civilian population (3) Syria WILL attempt to resupply Hezbollah, and MAY even attempt to attack Israel itself (4) Israel will be condemned by the UN (5) Israel can NOT count on the Obama Administration’s support — and can likely bet on their condemnation (5) Egypt and Saudi Arabia are literally HOPING Israel will attack Iran, because they fear the Shi’ite nuts in Iran FAR more than the Jews in Israel (6) an Iran with nukes = an END to the existence of Israel. Period. If Ole’ Mahmoud has one nuke, goodbye Tel-Aviv. If he has two, syonara Haifa. Three, and it’s adios Jaffa too.
THink beyond the headlines people. The MSM only tells you what they WANT you to know. Other sources indicate far more is afoot here.
Oh — and the Israeli operation to destroy Iranian Nukes? By March — April at the latest. It can’t wait any longer. One last piece of advice — keep your gas tanks full. When this operation is launched, oil prices will go thru the roof, at least for a while.

Netanyahu Blocks Construction in Jerusalem Neighborhoods
by Hillel Fendel
(IsraelNN.com) A stream of recent reports indicates that Prime Minster Binyamin Netanyahu is suspending construction and growth in the capital city of Jerusalem, in contradiction of his statements.
The latest report came from reporter Ariel Kahane in Makor Rishon. He wrote Monday that Netanyahu turned down plans to build 130 units in Har Homa and 30 more in Pisgat Zeev. Both are large neighborhoods built on land liberated by Israel in 1967.
