You don’t have to defend your efforts to him. He’s an ankle-biter and gnat who will eventually stray to far toward the light of the zapper.
His disdain for FR is festering and is coming out loud and clear:

Sometimes rabble rousing is conducive to getting the best bang for the buck, or non-buck, as the case might be. I have done research far beyond this.
You don’t have a clue about me nor what I do, except what I told you in my first post. You don’t sound mature enough to lead a Girl Scout troup. Perhaps a Dale Carnegie course would be beneficial before you attemp to rally others to your view.
I’ll continue to do as I see fit for my country. You do the same. Please be gracious enough to not post to me again. I prefer conferring with those who see the big picture.

The truth is, our country is going through a major change (overhaul) in its political and social mindset. It’s a new world...
What is happening here and now is the result of so many factors we can’t even name them all. While the clinton era (my era/generation’s awakening) triggered emotional debate— 9/11 started the change in mindset..we will never be the same again because of it. Now we expect more out of our so called leaders then we are getting, and the so-called leaders are using political correctness as a weapon against us...and it’s failing big time.
Corruption is being exposed, people are screaming for truth, justice and the ultimate goal-—a fix. Not a bandaid. To attempt to squash freedom of speech by telling people to not write letters is what the powers that be want.
This makes me sick...people have woke up, are speaking out and here we have people telling us that writing letters (historical physical evidence of discord, displeasure and anger) is a worthless venture. You might as well tell people to go back to sleep. I don’t see the naysayers offering an alternative, a better way to unite the angry voters.
I will never stand with anyone who attempts to suppress protests against socialism etc..
I’ve also read that writing letters doesn’t fix anything. It’s called a societal pressure relief valve also known as venting. It’s a heck of a lot better than screaming at the talking heads on cnn, msnbc and paper media from our livingrooms.
Regardless, this is the first step...voice and Analyze the problem. If true conservatives do not step up to the plate and respond to our loud cries within the rnc...the next step is to work with a different party.
I’ll get off my soap box, let ya’ll take over the debate. Besides, my thumbs are getting numb.

Mine, Don Young, actually answered his own phone when I called in 2002.
My personal issue was solved that day.
Although I wrote him a letter of thanks, he deserves more credit than that.

You do great work for your constituents.
Talk to your neighbors, friends relatives, etc. Encourage them to write/call their Rep’s or Senators and attend tea parties. And encourage THEM to talk to their friends.
When they tell you (as they have said to me) that it doesn’t make any difference, let them know that maybe one person can’t make a difference but A LOT of calls/letters can.
It’s the old *one person tells one person who tells one person...*
At some point congress will *get it*. They HAVE TO because the alternative really scares me.
It’s the suppression of free speech...freepers who are attempting to squash the idea of writing letters that is bugging the heck out of me. I cannot believe what I’m reading. That’s why I wrote what I wrote.

There is a faction...that has blissfully attacked the republican party for all sorts of reasons. This faction is often of two or even three mind sets but they have a common goal to purge the party and on a smaller scale this forum of any and all who disagree with them.
That's your spin, but the reality is a little different.
The GOP should monitor itself and be true to it's platform. As it hasn't done that, people have risen up and called them on their movement to the left
Same with FR, people get called out if they don't espouse the conservative values that FR stands for.
Standing up for what they believe.
Call it what you want, but it's something deep inside people that brings them to the point where they have had enough and see that the GOP isn't serving their conservatives values anymore.
It isn't simple "disagreeing" that is the problem. Nothing wrong with that.
The problem with this, as in 2008 is that you lose elections. It happened when Bob Dole ran and the religious right stayed home, and it happened just a few months ago when these angry factions refused to vote for McCain. (I held my nose)Who's turn will it be next, Newt Gingrich?
Put up the next guy in line (Dole) and he lost.
It's the voters fault? Or the GOP for not caring if they win as long as their next-in-line runs.

Voters don't want to vote for left leaning Republicans, so they are rebelling. About time.
Millions voted for McCain because of Palin, it still didn't get him elected.
Instead of blaming it on the voters, maybe the GOP should pay attention to what they want.
Perhaps if McCain hadn't of marginalized Palin and her conservativeness it could have been different.

I have things to do and I'm going to log out for what may well be a extended period of time. I tried to fix this crap one time before from 2004-2008 and it was a huge waste of time.
