Obama’s Weekly Radio Address 02 21 09

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vWmtPRPpJo

THE PRESIDENT: Earlier this week, I signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act — the most sweeping economic recovery plan in history.

Because of this plan, 3.5 million Americans will now go to work doing the work that America needs done.

...Because of what we did, lives will be saved and health care costs will be cut with new computerized medical records.

...what's this I hear about your Sen Nelson including provisions in Harry Reid's joke of a health care bill that excludes South Florida from medicaid cuts. Miami/Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Co.'s.

Nelson apparently learned from Louisiana's Sen. who got the 300 million for New Orelans, saying he could't support the bill if South Floridians had any Medicaid cuts. Any buzz on that ?

When I saw the clip about the Christmas gifts, I couldn't decide if they were going for Ozzie and Harriet, or Ozzy and Sharon.

I am surprised that they use the term Christmas Present. You would think that "Holiday Pleasantries" would be more appropriate.

Of course the NiC would think an autographed picture of himself would be a kicka$$ gift.

Fox and Friends is quoting new Obama quotes from the 60 Minutes interview tonight, so it's a new appearance. I guess they are afraid we will forget he's president.

Apparently he is going after bankers and bonuses. Fox is pointing out how many people in the Transportation office alone are making over $100,000, pointing out that the government is not very sensitive to the economic difficulties most Americans are facing, either.

Greenspan as Oracle was another NY/DC fairy tale, akin to the Emperor and his wardrobe.

No one dared to speak in dissent or even question his ‘wisdom’ for fear of looking foolish to their peers.

Liz talking about Obama slandering the CIA and going on foreign soil and bashing the US.

Wallace: Obama higher use of drone attacks than under Bush.

Wan concerned about conservatives praising Obama Nobel Prize speech. Seems about to say something real stupid.

Same here.... but Liz Cheney is doing an awesome job labeling parts of obama's speech as shameful, and calling some of his statements "slanderous" against those who defend us.

I didn’t think a whole lot of Tim Russert. We use to joke about his frowny face when he interviewed conservatives.

But I must say in terms of substance, he was miles ahead of Gregory who is completely sophmoric and obvious in his biases. His questions are little more than DNC talking points and his delivery is childish.

LOL. Juan just trashed obama on sending the troops to Afghanistan, and "going back to WWII and Hitler" terninology to justify these actions.

Wow, Juan just called McChystal a "faux" general.

Greenspan was spot on about the bi-variant economy. Wall St is growing along with huge corporations.

The real engine of America’s economy, small business, is being devastated, taking blue collar America down.....Obama and the Dems couldn’t care less.

The porkulus has been a stunning failure, and “it would have been worse without the stimulus” is no longer an acceptable excuse.

Cramer had it right...all it stimulated was government.
