Summed up pretty well. Mind if I use that?

Another reason is people tend to see their generation or time as more significant than actually it is. That's why people like Tom Cruise and Julia Roberts win the “Best Actors of the 20th Century” contest and other such nonsense. The majority voting never heard of Sir Lawrence Olivier or Richard Burton, for example. I call this Chronoism or Temporism. Bias to ones’ own time.

Anyway, people have always enjoyed a good conspiracy or disaster story. The threat makes them feel more significant than they are.

Morning AB, weather finally cleared up in north central Florida. It has been dreary for most of last week. Looks like Health Care is on the menu, but senators are ready to talk about anything. Did you get any Irish lace?

DBM - commonly applied to Drive By Media, although your explanation of the acronym works just as well.

Yeah that will work but the original “Drive by Media” coined by Rush is so hard to beat. If only I could draw the picture of them driving by shooting and running with bogus story after story.

Yeah swordfish or wahoo marinated with zesty Italian seasoning and then grilled are quite tasty.

My buddys/radio partners went 11 for 17 on wahoo to 62 lbs. on Wed. quite a trip.

That news report about Obamaville was more concerned about the audacity of an unknown somebody putting up that sign than in the condition and causes for the tent city.

I can't watch the parade of (for the most part)phony beltway pundits....

most need serious attitude adjustments, even the ones purported to be of a ‘conservative bent’.....

....attitude adjustments can consist of placing offending pundits in a burlap sack and whacking them with 2X4s...........figuratively speaking of course...I would never condone violence (snicker)

Good morning, Alas!

I see Christian Roemer (or as I like to call her, Little Lotta) will be on today with her inappropriate giggling and non-informative comments.

Sunday Morning Talk Shows - That amazing time of the week when people go on television to speak authoritatively and at length regarding subjects about which they know absolutely nothing.
