Ready to make calls, WHERE is a Anit-Obamacare phone bank website or do we have to run our own?

Posted on 12/15/2009 1:44:30 PM PST by steve0

Ready to organize ad hoc phone bank. Need Senator numbers that actually work, like their local offices. Who are the top 10 that we need to target?

Sen. Nelson’s (402) 391-3411 Fax: (402) 391-4725

Try telling known demwits that ms botox and dingy are trying to discredit their ‘god’ because they wanted shillary, that is why obamacare is so bad for Seniors, Veterans and retired Military, they want to ‘fix’ it so their ‘god’ can’t get re-elected and shillary will be a shoo in in 2012.

Not sure I agree, and would like to see your source on this.

Last night I received an email from Sen. Webb’s staff, which was reassuring. It appears he is preparing voters for his vote against health care reform bill.

TRI CARE FOR LIFE This from a google search:

http://economicspolitics.blogspot.com/2009/05/tricare-for-life-is-obama-trying-to.html

This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollee’s cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.)

Please feel free to pass along my list for the House, or improve on it when possible! I'm going to click-link-a-tize it in my spare time.... :o)

THE
ANY THREE
ACTION ALERT

Send a copy of this article (a paper copy, or a link) to Rep. Bart Stupak, Rep. Joseph Cao, and the Potential Flip Vote of your choice. If the vote on the final (post-reconciliation bill) goes exactly as it did last time in the House, but with just three people flipping from YES to NO, THIS BILL WILL FAIL.

Bart Stupak Contact Information

Again: there were 42 members of the House who voted both in favor of the Stupak amendment to bar taxpayer funding for abortions and in favor of the main bill. Clearly, Speaker Nancy Pelosi couldn't have won passage of health care legislation had the House not adopted pro-life language.

The names below are all of those who voted in favor of both measures, with an asterisk next to those who were considered undecided on the morning of the vote. To be clear, many of these members would have supported the health care bill no matter what. However, given the 220-215 vote margin on the House vote, what it means is that when the pro-life language is stripped from the bill during negotiations with the Senate, if Pelosi loses the support of any three of these people below as a result -- without picking up anybody else's support -- the bill cannot pass the House.

It’s easier to call the local offices as the DC phone lines are lite up like an over loaded Christmas tree, and voice mails limited to a very few.

Very true. Phoning local offices is a very good tactic. Aas well, I often go to the Congresscritters' web-page message thingie, which is an e-mail form. I don't know for a fact that they read them all, but I reckon they count them all.
