What do we do if Deathcare passes?

Posted on 12/18/2009 10:59:19 AM PST by hdbc

If this nightmare passes, what Alinsky, civil disobedience tactics can we use to overturn it? Voting these creeps out is only part of the solution. Even if we took control of congress in 2010, we would need a veto proof majority to overturn it. Unlikely, I suspect. We need to do what the libtards do when they want to undermine something. Any ideas out there?

It would be nice for a bunch of state governors to stand up and say “(State) will NOT comply with these illegal laws.”

the only obvious thing I can see is legal action to prevent a Federal mandate on the people that is unconstitutional. I am not real confident that judicial system will be real helpful, though.

It might take a supermajority to overturn it but it won’t take a supermajority to not fund it.

The precident for banning a coercion to purchase health care, which is a contract, is United States vs Reynolds. It draws on the 13th Amendment prohibition on Indentured Servitude. Straight to SCOTUS. This court will uphold Reynolds.

First, doesn’t the amended bill go back to the House? If it doesn’t, and passes as is and goes to Obama, then the fallout is going to be interesting. The current bill mandates purchase of health insurance under penalty of law, but there is no public option. Therefore you have to buy from a private insurance company. Won’t this only strengthen private insurance, or are there other things in the bill to make things go the other way.

With 2000 plus pages, its frikken hard to know what is going to happen.

Rebellion.

4/15/10
Be there
Be belligerent
Be intimidating
Shut down Washington, DC. We can do it. We could have done it on 9/12, but we were (foolishly) trying to show we are civilized people who respect the law. We can make them fear us. DC simply does not have the manpower or the resources to do much of anything if 1.5 million of us get physical.

In addition, it is time to start forming formal, organized groups that, in mass, will refuse to buy government mandated “insurance”. Publicly and vocally and in your face. Think about it. What is DC going to do when 5 or 10 million people simply refuse to obey their “law”? Essentially, citizen nullification.

But this would have to be done early on to be effective.

Any federal version of health care is unconstitutional since Article 1 Section 8 does not specifically grant Congress the power to regulate health care. The people are not bound by any unconstitutional act of Congress.

The people must respond with civil disobedience if Congress passes this unconstitutional legislation.

Pretty much anything they want. Like the IRS codes, anyone can be found to be in "noncompliance" somewhere if the bureaucrats so decide. It'll be great for petty government workers to get even.

If it passes, Republicans run in 2010 on Deathcare's complete and utter rescission, the slogan being:

Like it never even happened.

The Republican's capture the House, they capture the purse strings. They don't spend, then nobody spends. If Obama doesn't sign the rescission, then his Government is starved until it relents.

1) Civil Disobedience for Healthcare “Mandates” (Taxes)- Then when a large number of people have been incarcerated and fined for this DEMAND a mass pardon!

2) Don’t pay your taxes? (Risky, but are YOU willing to do it)!?

3) Turn to the states to “opt out” it’s citizens from the consequences (and paying) for Obamacare.

4) Make sure there is a majority to repeal it.

5) (Highly unlikely) but seek to overturn it in the Courts.

6) Move?

How about using a right wing Rhambo move of finding some dirt (old, new, Tiger Woods-style) stuff on a Democrat?

How about an affair, liason, corruption, bribery, pay-for-play, campaign doner fraud, Mob/union/Greenie ties...

Can we dig up anything, or if we did, would the State-run media spin, ignore or deny any investigation anyway?

Well, for starters, if I have to apply for insurance I'm going to apply for a LOT of insurance under hundreds of phony names, addresses and SS#'s. The goal of which is gum up the works so bad, the government can't figure out who has a policy and who doesn't. Imagine if 100,000 people filed 100 phony applications each....

Even though I've always had health insurance I'm going to stage some minor civil disobedience and "redact" the part of the 1040 that requires me to inform the government about my insurance status. I'm going to bold out the entire section with a big black marker and write ---REDACTED---REFUSE TO ANSWER---UNCONSTITOUTIONAL---. This will serve the purpose of screwing up the IRS's machines autoscan functions the large black box will cause the return to be kicked out and it will have to be entered by hand, making a LOT of extra work and also making sure someone sees what is written(imagine if 1,000,000 people did that). And No, I am NOT afraid of IRS, I pay all my taxes and I will have insurance so let them audit me, they'll waste even more money on that...

Don’t worry or fear - the Death cult will make sure there is a civilized way to put you down - Soylent Green showed it very well: Hemlock centers where people could go to die very quietly and then on to the factory for further “processing.”

Or you can have the “home option” where hospice nurses will come and give you a lethal dose of morphine. No problemo...

Mass, coordinated revolt: NOBODY SIGNS UP FOR IT

180° wrong - If few sign up an all pay, it will be declared a huge success because the program does not cost what it was projected.

INSTEAD we should all sign up for it and USE IT. Use it in copius amounts. Every ache, pain and phantom malody should be tended to. Healthcare has been declared your RIGHT and no one can deny you. Get a second and third opinion on every diagnosis. Demand the attention that you deserve.

Crush the program with its own weight.

Cancel your health insurance and pay the fine. If you get sick later, then you can sign up for coverage. There will be no pre-existing condition qualification and you won't pay a dime more than some healthy marathon runner.

Of course if everyone did this, the new health care system would collapse in a matter of months..... :-)

As a former leftist, let me list the ways:

Pack the clinics and have a sit-down protest.

Create lots of video imagery mocking the health care situation, and don’t spare exagerration, hyperbole, and outright misstatements of fact. The left uses this tactic often; turn it against them. Overwhelm their ability to critique what we’re doing by flooding the system.

Select those who support this action and target them, run opposition research, use thier own values against them (Sen. X used a private clinic for his skin cancer removal!!!), and be unrelenting.

Remember that our goal is the destruction of the left, just as their stated goal is the destruction of the right (which they call “bourgeoise values”). Be unrelenting in that goal. The left has literally worked on a scale of decades, if not centuries; they pioneered the idea of the “long walk through the institutions.” We can do the same thing, quietly hiring our own in academia, the media, and government, until we attain positions of influence.

Always take the offensive.

Use humor against the opposition.

Hey, I gotta go back to work. Just read Alinsky and apply his rules to conservative values and goals. Those rules don’t belong to any single ideology. As the left will discover to its discontent.

Here’s how it will play out if the GOP gains a majority in the House and Senate in 2010: the RATS will snuggle up to their GOP counterparts and whisper sweet nothings of how bipartisan and cooperative they’re going to be and at the same time take the knife out and thrust it into the back of the idiot Republican who believes a single syllable any RAT utters.

We never learn just how depraved we as humans can become. The question is, What can we do to effectively fight what is going on now and what is coming? Will our law enforcement brothers and sisters fight against the Patriots (I’m just following orders) or will they stand with us (I will not follow an illegal order)? How many of us are willing to die for what we believe, and make sure the powers that be know it — or will we get scared and hunker down like ostriches? I recently was tested (forced to have the H1N1 vaccine or lose my job), and I buckled. What will be the next freedom I let go?
