Can Sarah Palin lead US Republicans to victory?
ABC ^ | 12-21-09 | Michael Brissenden

The expansive asphalt parking lot in Fair Lakes Shopping Center in Fairfax Virginia was full and there wasn't a single Prius in sight. This is SUV territory and the campaign sticker on the back window of one big Ford summed up the mood: a play on the Obama campaign mantra of hope, this one said simply - "Nope".

There are not too many Obama fans in Fairfax but there are hundreds of people prepared to line up for hours in the snow for a chance to meet the one political figure they believe might still be able to rescue the nation from "socialised medicine", "Liberal intellectuals" and "elitist" newspapers like the New York Times.

Sarah Palin's book Going Rogue is the publishing sensation of the moment here.

If she wants my vote, then she owes me”

She owes you NUTHIN’!
No one can win the vote of everyone. There will always be millions of hard core bottom feeders who will vote for 0bozo anyways, the same kinds of people, who refuse to even acknowledge the perfectly legitimate reasons she has already given in her book about why she had to resign.
Again, you are getting NOTHING from her. You know what you can do with that vote of yours.

"so I asked you how the guy who is the “greatest orator ever” working out as president?"

Says who? I think Obama is a HORRIBLE speaker, especially without a script. He stammers, he hesitates and wanders and he's not compelling.

"You left out one little detail."

And you left out a little detail. Clinton's approval rating TANKED after his first year in office. What a short memory we have. Here's the proof...

Presidential Approval Ratings -- Bill Clinton

Shortly after the first of the yaar - 1994 - Clinton plummeted from right around 60% to 39%, leading to the GOP sweep in the fall of '94.

Here's a hint - Don't listen to anything Dickie Morris has to say. He's never missed an opportunity to be wrong.

Since you work so hard to tear down the republican with the highest approval ratings, and our only conservative at the top, who did you sign up to promote here?

"Do you want another liar like Clinton—maybe you do."

What an insanely illogical statement.

No one had heard of Barack Obama in the late summer of 2004.

And THAT'S a good thing?

No sport. It's a political reality. Try to keep up.

Isn’t this how it works? Cast public doubt and then rig the out come of the vote. The election process in the US has been working like that for years. It allows the elite to have their way and the peons, though disappointed, are kept at bay until the next election charade.

Bill Clinton was re-elected in ‘96 because the GOP ‘94 congressional victory forced Clinton to the middle, Dick Morris's triangulation strategy got Clinton signed up for bipartisan welfare reform, and the economy was decent. Simple as that.
Then, of course, there was Clinton's charismatic opponent, John McCain's cousin Bob Dole. LOL.”

Yes.
On top of that, Clinton was still at 56% approval after his first year. 0bozo is already hitting between 44 and 46% approval the end of his first year. He is running at over 10% lower in approval ratings than Clinton did at the end of his first year. That doesn't bode well for 0bozo.
Like you pointed out, if 0bozo then has to face a highly charismatic figure like Sarah Palin in 2012, as compared to the comatose Robert Dole that Clinton faced, 0bama is going to find out what a real fight is like.

Do you want a surgeon, or a defense attorney or an accountant "who speaks like an average American"?

I don't care how my accountant speaks, but if I am looking for a conservative leader then I want someone that has the charisma and speaking ability that can enable them to draw the voters to them and beat the entire media in a one on one game of head to head.

It is no wonder that Governor Palin was the most popular elected official in the nation and the most popular Governor in America, she persuades people to her side.

Palin does win and you did not name who you signed up for, on who’s behalf you work the Palin threads, trying to knock out our leading conservative.

Yeah. If we get rid of voter fraud and somehow get the media to start telling the truth.

Reagan was only polarizing after he was elected and the libs needed a straw man. Palin is polarizing now.

You must have lived through a different set of elections than I lived through. The lying Dim bastards did everything they could to destroy Regan. Including using television camera techniques to make it seem Regan had no crowds while falsely showing Carter with no crowds.

"It is no wonder that Governor Palin was the most popular elected official in the nation and the most popular Governor in America, she persuades people to her side."

I believe the operative word in your statement is "was". Her popularity dropped precipitously after her failed VP bid. I believe she had fallen to the mid-fifties shortly before her resignation as governor; an approval rating in the fifties for a Republican governor in a very red state, isn't all that remarkable.

Polarizing politicians do not have 93% approval ratings while governing. Palin is a uniter, that is why her numbers climb when the public sees her.

I agree.
Read what I said. I said the State Run Media have hailed 0bama as the “greatest orator ever”. That means plenty of Americans bought that in 2008.

And you left out a little detail. Clinton's approval rating TANKED after his first year in office”

I forgot nothing.
I am talking about Clinton's approval ratings at this same time, December, and comparing it to 0bozo’s ratings RIGHT NOW in December, which Dick Morris did right here, in this video:
http://www.freedomslighthouse.com/2009/12/dick-morris-says-republican-tsunami-is.html

He should know what he's talking about.
We can't compare what happens ater his first year, because 0bama won't even finish his first year till January 2010.

"Palin does win and you did not name who you signed up for, on who’s behalf you work the Palin threads, trying to knock out our leading conservative."

This is the grotesque arrogance of the Palinphiles that is most obnoxious. Here's the game they play - if someone belives Palin to be a flawed candidate, then that person must be in league with Satan himself.

It's ridiculous and incredibly intellectually shallow - which of course explains your fascination with Palin.

There are DOZENS of quality conservative Republicans out there. There's no need to hitch a wagon to any of them this far out - as anyone who supported Sanford can attest to.

The GOP has another smooth talker waiting in the wings, Slick Willard Romney. The establishment wants him bad, so it's gonna be a fight for the nomination.

Having conservative supporters like Jim DeMint, who says Mittens "lights up a room" doesn't help. I hope people like DeMint come to their senses between now and 2012. Conservatives need all hands on deck.

Typical retort of a Palin sychophant, acting like a teenage girl who just got rejected from the Shawn Cassidy fan club. Very becoming /s
