They most certainly were racist remarks. Here is Liz’s most shining moment in this transcript:
“This may be the way that liberal elites speak to each other in private. It is not the way that people that I know speak to each other in private or public.”
Reid’s remarks were entirely true. Obama was indeed chosen in part because he was light skinned and it is true that he opportunistically spoke in dialect. If the word “negro” was the problem, perhaps we should start a campaign to get the National Negro College Fund to change its name. Conservatives are digging their graves when they join the witchhunting PC thought police. Harry Reid should be drummed out of office because of his socialism not because of these remarks.
