Posted on 01/13/2010 8:08:37 AM PST by Al B.
In her debut as a contributor to Fox News, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin admitted Tuesday that leading up to her 2008 vice presidential debate she thought Iraq may have been behind the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
Interviewed by Fox Newss Bill OReilly on his show The OReilly Factor, Palin trashed many of the critical accounts of her candidacy in the new book Game Change. But one story from the book that Palin did not say was made up or a lie was the description of her uncertainty as to whether Iraq had a hand in the planning of the September 11 attacks.
I did talk a lot to [campaign strategist] Steve Schmidt about the history of the war and where the attackers could have come from, Palin said of her debate prep during the fall of 2008 more than five years after the start of the war in Iraq and seven years after the terrorist attacks that hit New York and Washington.
I do admit to asking questions about that, she said.

Lying bstrds...she said nothing of the kind...and as she was about to explain what happened. OReally, of course, cut her off...
I watched that interview and I don’t recall her saying that. Politico LIES again.
“Thought” and “wondered” are two different things.
Has Salman Pak been explained completely?
All you have to do is watch the show to see its a lie, but the media can’t report anything factual. Like another freeper said, this story will be quoted as a source all over the MSM.
I watched her on this show and I don’t recall her saying that.
Iraq / Hussein was behind a lot of terrorism. Any analyst who didn’t consider whether or not 9/11 was supported by Iraq is a dumbass.
Andy Barr lies (again). The title doesn’t match her quote.
that is twisted so much they must have been dizzy.
She never said Iraq was behind 9/11
Still she can go on Beck’s show tonight and tell this writer that he is a dope
The left is so totally emotionally and politically invested in a complete separation of Iraq from 9/11 that there will be no rational discussion of the topic.
Politico - what the Weekly World News would be if it lost all credibility.
To the author of the Politico piece please for your own sake put down the bong.
Did Atta meet with Iraqi intetlligence agents in Prauge?
I don’t know.
Was Salman Pak a training ground for Al Qaeda in Iraq pre 9/11
I don’t know.
What the hell happened with Abel Danger?
I don’t know.
Sure, I have questions.
Wish I had answers.
Oh, and what’s funny about this “article” from Politico is that the same people that will ridicule Sarah Palin about Iraq being behind 9/11, they themselves believe that George Bush was behind it.
how about everyone on here writing to this idiot and telling him where he’s wrong and that he can’;t even get the basics right
saddam supported the terrorists, remember the training area with the plane? saddam obviously didnt want his fingerprints on the attack but gave a hand to the 9/11 act of war.
