Dems look at bypassing Senate health care vote

BOSTON (AP) - A panicky White House and Democratic allies scrambled Sunday for a plan to salvage their hard-fought health care package in case a Republican wins Tuesday's Senate race in Massachusetts, which would enable the GOP to block further Senate action.

The likeliest scenario would require House Democrats to accept a bill the Senate passed last month, despite their objections to several parts.

Aides worked frantically Sunday amid fears that Republican Scott Brown will defeat Democrat Martha Coakley in the special election to fill the late Edward M. Kennedy's seat. A Brown win would give the GOP 41 Senate votes, enough to filibuster and block final passage of the House-Senate compromise on health care now being crafted.

That strategy is sort of like Obama sinking a dagger into the heart of the Democratic Party.

The Dems would be absolutely insane to force a Senate vote with a 59 seat 2/3 majority, but they could.

And they are insane enough to do it. They might get their bill passed, but they would not have any constituency to speak of left to them. The writing is on the wall for the Helath Care Bill:

"OBAMA: PROCEED AT YOUR PERIL"

And thats the people speaking, not the so called Obamafied "special interests"

The Dems ignore that and Obama will NOT last until 2012. Count on it. We have all we need to get rid of him in the so called "birther files."

If Brown wins, good luck in herding all those demo-cats. With every single seat up in 2010, I cannot imagine that they are that stupid. How much is left in “slushulus”? Enough to bribe 30 votes or so that may go astray? And even if zippy can scrape enough bribe dollars together, are the house dems dumb enough to think that will save them in 2010?

Agenda or no, one thing I know about human nature is that people will always make the choice that offers them the most reward. I cannot imagine a scenario where passing the senate version of obamacare offers house democrats any reward whatsoever...other than obamalove which is worth less and less every day.

I honestly think it is dead if Brown wins. It will send a clear and jolting message to those who serve in seats that were held by Republican’s. I think it will die in the house.

Aides worked frantically Sunday

These people just don't get it. After watching the strengthening Tea Party movement followed up by the Massachusetts revolution the response is to speed up their corruption based backroom scheming?

They are truly dumber than a box of rocks.

If the Senate version is passed, the Unions will go apeshit.

The problem may lie in getting the house to accept the Senate version as their version in total especially if Brown wins in a blowout.

Despite all the talk about passing deathcare and finalizing it this weekend, I wonder if the rats in the house are delaying intentionally just to see how radioactive Obama and the bill have become based on this election? I'd like to think it's true.

Here's to hoping for a blowout of epic proportions.

This idea of he House just passing the Senate bill could run afoul of the origination clause in Article I, Section 7 of the Constitution, which states, “All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives, but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.” Right now the Senate bill is a giant revenue bill that may well be unconstitutional because it originated in the Senate.

That depends on who they are planing to have count the votes in November, or next week for that matter.

So what are they going to do, endorse Republicans in 2010?

Thanks for the ping LucyT.

This whole Healthcare thing I believe we all understand is a major money, and power grab by the Leftist movement.

Some still believe this line of thinking to be Tin Foil Hat stuff, but it’s true, or why else would there be such a them against us attitude from our alleged representation in the majority Democrat controlled Congress where 83 of the House members are card carrying “Progressive Caucus” Commies?

Here they are looking at any, and all possibilities to bypass, circumvent, force-feed, bluster through, cram-up, or jam down our throats a HealthCare law the vast majority of Americans don’t EVEN want.

This tells me the Democrats pushing this bill, and forcing, or trying to force other Leftist positions into laws with which we are allegedly to respect, and accept without a whimper aren’t working for the people of this Nation, but for themselves and their wealthy Socialist supporters globally that have the desire to see this Nation’s government crumpled, and tossed into the waste can of history so they can remake it in their own vision, and reap the benefits of the wealth of our resources upon themselves.

The “Congressional Progressive Caucus”, the Democrat members of Congress with ties to ideological opposition to our Constitution, the support from the International Communist Party of Obama, and the Leftist directions they are promoting all tell us a story that not that long ago would have met with derision.

We are at war, and the enemy is within the perimeter. We have to start taking aim at what we thought was/were our own. No quarter.

The way the House would get around that is to amend their orignal bill which they passed and sent to the Senate. The Senate made several amendments to the House bill and passed it and sent it back to the House. Rather than reconcilliation the House can accept all the changes to their bill the Senate sent back and pass it. All this is regarding H.R.3590, not some Senate orginated bill.
